taraji h.

i was packing my stuff up. i couldn't wait for this shit to be over with and now that it finally has i was ready to go. toya, tasia, autumn, win, nor bryce have spoken to me the whole week and my grandparents found nothing. the most they've done was send me a few text messages– not once picked up the calls. all of my worrying flew out the window and now my nerves were shot out because i didn't know what i was going home to. i didn't wanna turn into the old me at all. i figured that maybe they wanted to surprise me, but even still that's doesn't mean not speaking to me for a whole week.

bey is who i wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to. for the last few hours here i was gonna take her out to dinner and talk. she hasn't been out her room at all today and i knew it was because she didn't wanna face the fact that i was leaving. neither of us wanted to say goodbye to each other, but i had no other choice. we've been on each other for 4 weeks and it feels like it has all come to an ending too soon.

"bey." i knocked.

"go away..."

"beyonce open the door." i didn't call her that unless i was serious. a few seconds later i heard the door handle rattle.

"what is it?" i could only see her leg. the entire room was dark and she had the door cracked.

"can i come in?"

"... sure i guess."

she walked away leaving to open the door and let myself in. i opened the curtain so there would be some sort of light. she covered her eyes.

"it's too bright."

"i know..." i trailed off taking a seat next to her on the bed, "wassup with you?"

"you know what's up. you're leaving and i don't know how to take that. i know we've only been together a few weeks, but it feels like it's been years with you." she wiped her eyes, "i'm gonna miss you."

"i'll miss you too, but i know this ain't the end of us. the only thing is that we both live really from far one another, but what is a flight to catch? if we wanna make this work we have to put in the work. are you down for that?"

"yeah." she smiled, "i am."

"good. come here." i grabbed her hand, pulling her up and onto my lap. she straddled me and leaned down to kiss me. my hands cupped her ass, "i wanna take you somewhere before i go back home."

"where we going? i need to know how i should dress."

"where something sexy. black."

"see now i can do that. i have too get this head done so i need to book an appointment."

"on me."

"no, on me. i wouldn't even ask you to do that."

"i insist. let me do that for you."

"no, baby." she kissed me and got off my lap.

"bey..."

"you can't argue me out of this one, raj."

"okay, how about we do heads or tails on a coin about it. i call heads and if it lands i pay for it. if it lands on tails you gotta catch a flight to atlanta next week."

"it's a deal." i let her flip it so there would be no suspicions, three... two... one..." she lifted her hand and it showed tails. we both smiled big.

"i wanna see you, beyoncé. don't finesse my coin."

"you will, but the next flight will be you coming to see me."

"no problem for me." i shrugged, "also, there is a schedule i have to stay on."
