Kai POV

Kai: Ooooh... my head....

I was dizzy and disoriented. Not to mention the killer migraine.

Kai: Pyra...

I stumbled out of bed, but I didn't get very far. I fell to my knees.

Kai: I need to... save her...

Darkseid: How are you supposed to save her? You couldn't then, what makes you think you can now?

Kai: You're going to... to help me.

He laughed.

Darkseid: Oh yeah? And why would I?

Kai: If Pyra dies, Mythra dies too.

There was silence for a while.

Darkseid: Alright. Fuck it. I need the wife.

Power surged through me. My eyes becoming a fluid gradient from blue to purple, my hair turning a dark silver.

Kai: That's better.

A light went off in my brain.

Pyra: Kai...

The necklace I gave her. 

Kai: Clever girl...

I knew where she was. And how to get there. I was going to end this once and for all.

Kai: I'm coming, Pyra.

I grabbed my sword. Bolting out of the room with Jin's speed. Moving faster than the speed of light. Landscape blurred past me. Suddenly, the world came to a screeching halt. I was there. Malos was standing over her. She looked bad, like she had just been kicked around for the past few days.

Malos: Don't blame me for this. It's our Father who made us this way. But don't worry... Once I meet him, I'll get the answers we're after. I need to know why we're like this... In any case, this world only needs one Aegis. Don't you agree, Pyra?

Pyra stood up weakly.

Pyra: Ugh...

Malos knocked her down again and again. Each time she fell, he held out his hand a dark purple glow surrounding his hand and drawing in from her Core. Like he was stealing something.

Pyra: Aaah!! Ahh! Aggh! Aaaahhh! Aaaahhhh!

She went down again

Malos: Pathetic. Look at all this trash! Huh?

She stayed down this time.

Pyra: *pant* *pant* *pant*

Pyra weakly retreated.

Malos: Why are you running? Why are you protecting this garbage? We Aegises don't need these things! You want to be free of them as I do!

Pyra: Stop it! I'm not like you at all! I am-

He knocked her down again

Pyra: *anguished* Stop! Stop stealing my memories! Noooooo!

She passed out, falling limp.

Malos: Well damn, Father... Look what you've been hiding away. All right, then. If that's what you want, I'll do it for you!

He picked her up and walked away, though not before delivering a kick to her ribs.

I unfroze and sped after him. I caught up just in time to witness him wipe Ophion's programming. And then he sank back into the deep.

Kai: *cold* Step away from her, you bastards.
