The only thing I heard as I tried to open my eyes was a soft debussy playing somewhere around me. It was probably a nice song but given the situation that I was in, it sounded nothing but creepy. I felt like I was in a horror movie and the killer was taking his time to sharpen his knife to stab me in various different ways.
When I realized that I was still lying on the floor, I tried to sit up but it was pretty difficult considering the fact that my hands were tied up. I huffed and brought my body up with my upper body strength and leaned against something that felt like a wall.
The room - or wherever - I was in, was dark and I couldn't make out where I was. I still felt a little weak, as if my limbs haven't regained their strength back yet. I felt a little sticky and my hair was stuck to my face but I couldn't do anything to swipe it away.
Suddenly, there was a bright light shining from the ceiling and I squinted my eyes immediately, trying to prevent myself from getting blind. When my eyes got used to the sudden brightness, I looked ahead but saw nobody standing in the room with me. I looked around the place and realized that it looked like a storeroom of some sort. There was absolutely no ventilation and the smell that lingered in the room made me nauseous.
The last thing I remembered was Jace attacking me with a cloth filled with chloroform. Why would he do something like that? I had so many questions running in my head and I didn't know how to feel about the situation I was in. My thoughts immediately went to my family. I promised Alec that I would be back home for supper but now, god knows what time it is and where I am.
I searched for my phone that was in my back pocket before I was anesthetized by my so called boyfriend but now, it wasn't there anymore. I felt so insecure with my hands tied behind me and I wanted so badly to rip off whatever was tying my hands together.
But most importantly, I needed answers and I needed to get out of here now. So I did the only thing that I could do at the moment - scream.
"Jace!" I yelled, gathering as much strength in my voice as I could. My dry throat painfully protested whenever I opened my mouth but I couldn't worry about that now. "Jace freaking Scotts! Where are you!"
When I paused to take a breath, the door of the room swung open and my head snapped up to see Jace but he wasn't the one entering the room. Instead, there was a middle aged guy with tan skin and cropped black hair walking towards me with a huge creepy smile on his face. The debussy had stopped playing in the background and I silently thanked god for that.
"W..who are you?" I asked as I watched the creep crouch before me. He had a captivating smile, I can't argue with that. But right now, I wanted to cut that smirk right off his face.
He completely ignored my question as he took his time to look me up and down. I stared right at him defiantly, not willing to show him that I was scared.
"I asked who are you." I cleared my throat, causing him to look back into my eyes again. "Why do you have me in here?" I took another glance around the room and grimaced.
The guy in front of me let out a hearty laugh and shook his head slightly. "You're a feisty one aren't you?" His grin didn't leave his face as he traced my jawline with his index finger. I looked away in disgust and tried to move back; away from him. "Just like your mother." He continued.
My eyes shot back to his face. "How do you know my mother? Who are you?" I demanded.
"Oh, your mother knows me very well." He smirked and I scowled.
I looked around me one more time before matching his gaze again. "I'm sorry, does it look like my mother is here right now? Tell me who you are, bastard!"
