Bella's POV

"Alec!" I could hear Alaska yelling as she slammed her fist against her brother's door. "Wake the hell up! I don't want to be late on the first day of school!"

I shared a brief look of amusement with Edward before we heard Alaska running down the stairs. She dropped her bag on the couch as she half ran to the kitchen to grab her favorite cereal box.

"Boys are annoying, brothers are even worse." Alaska muttered as she flopped down on her seat next to Edward.

"Good morning to you too." I said sarcastically. Alaska frowned at me before recomposing her face to smile at both Edward and I.

"Good morning." She chirped.

It was Alaska's and Alec's first day in junior year and Alaska seemed pretty excited about it. She hummed the tune of her favorite song as she poured the cereals in her bowl and added the milk.

"We will be driving y'all to school before your mum and I head over to work." Edward stated as he finished his last toast. "What time do y'all end school again?"

Alaska stared at Edward with her mouth full. I gently tapped her hands and gave her a meaningful look, silently reminding Alaska of her table manners. She finished chewing her cereals before she turned back to Edward. "I've no idea, dad. I'll check my schedule and text you guys later?"

"Do you need us to pick you up after school?" I asked, picking up Edward's plate with mine as I got up from the breakfast table.

"Nah, I think Heather can drop us off." Alaska smiled. "That is, if we don't get detention for being late on the first day. Seriously, why do guys need to sleep for so long anyway?"

Just then, as if God was answering Alaska's questions, Alec came sauntering down the stairs and gave us all a winning smile. "Good morning." He beamed.

"Hey mum." He muttered before kissing my cheek.

"Morning Alec." I smiled. "Sit down and have your breakfast, you guys aren't that late."

"I know." Alec winked as he ruffled Alaska's hair. "You're such a drama queen, sis."

"Excuse me?" Alaska swatted his hand away. "You're the vain pot." She grumbled.

"Stop fighting and start behaving like 17 year olds, would you?" Edward warned but he had a smile intact on his face.

"Technically-" Alaska started.

"We are still 16." Alec finished. I stifled a laugh from the kitchen as I watched Edward roll his eyes.

In this house, it was a known fact that Alaska and Alec could be fighting all morning but they could never ever go to sleep without seeing each other's faces before bed.

Finally after fifteen minutes of another round of arguing between the twins and another fifteen minutes of rushing both the teenagers out, we finally got into the car and headed towards Forks High. Yes, that school was still intact and steady even after all these years and that brought a smile to my face whenever we drove past it. Edward and I became part of the alumni together with Emmett and Rose ever since our kids joined Forks High.

Since Donovan was a year older than the twins, it was his first day in senior year today. Much like us, these three kept their friendship going strong throughout the years and now, they were like the three musketeers who were impossible to separate.

About ten minutes later, Forks High came to view. The school had gone through several reconstructions and makeovers but overall, it still had the same school spirit as it had when Edward and I were students. I was just glad that nobody tried to wreck this place down. It held way too many memories.
