"I really like you, Ally. You make me feel all sorts of things that I've only seen in the stupid movies."

"I've never understood how the guys in movies just look at a girl and feel the need to do anything for them. But with you, I finally get it."

"You know, I haven't actually brought anyone here before."

"You're the first, my special lady."

"I'm not going anywhere, princess. I promise."

"I'll be the luckiest person if you tell me that you feel at least half as much for me."

My eyes fluttered open as I tried desperately to clear my thoughts. I blinked a few times and took in a few short breaths to regain my composure, still feeling a little disturbed from my dream. I tried to raise my hand and rub my eyes but something stopped me and I looked down to see what that annoying thing was. An IV needle was pierced at the back of my hand and I followed the tube to see what it was connected to. A bag with clear fluids was standing by my bed and it looked half full.

I groaned as I realized I couldn't move much and as I tried to shift my body, I felt someone breathe against my arm. I looked down to my side and caught glimpse of someone's messed up bronze hair. My heart stopped for a second before the person looked up and I realized it was none other than Alec.

"Hey, you're awake." He rubbed his eyes and smiled. "Finally."

I gave him a small smile and looked around the room. "I'm back home?" I asked.

"Yeah, Mum and Dad didn't want to keep you at the hospital." Alec explained. "How are you feeling?"

I stretched my hands and legs that were still a little stiff from not being used for god knows how long. "I've had better days." I admitted. "Wher-"

I was cut off by my room door opening, revealing my worried looking parents. "You're up." Mum noted as she rushed to my side. Alec got up from his seat as Mum sat down beside me on the bed. Dad stood beside her as he held my wrist to check my pulse.

"You're doing just fine." Dad announced as he let go of my wrist and gently kissed my forehead. "Gave us a fright there, didn't you?" He let out a soft chuckle and I couldn't help but smile. It felt more than great to see my family safe before me. I wanted to see Heather too but I guess I could find her later. I looked and felt way too crappy to face my best friend right now.

"I'm just glad to be back home." I mumbled as I got up and slowly pushed myself up against the headboard. I looked at my fingers while Mum placed some pillows behind my back and faintly traced my IV needle. "Where is he?"

I didn't have to look up to know what my parents' faces looked like. Jacob deserved to be in hell for what he did to both Mum and I and till I knew he was locked up somewhere far away, I would never feel safe.

"Jacob is gone, for good." Mum patted my hands and smiled at me. "Uncle Emmett was around the area, looking for you that night. When we left La Push with you, your Dad called him to take care of Jacob." I winced as she said his name but she continued anyway. "The situation pretty much cleared up after that. Your uncle called the cops - after thrashing Jacob a little - and they took him in after that." Dad and Alec both smirked and I finally let out a sigh of relief.

"How long is he going to be in there for?" I asked, still a little afraid of what might happen if he ever came out again.

"He won't be coming out anymore, Al." My brother said. "He's in a mental institute, somewhere in Colfax."

I gasped and eyed my parents' reactions with my mouth wide open. "Are..are you serious? He's in a mental asylum?"

"Yes and he's going to be in there for life." Dad replied as he sat down on the bed beside Mum. "He's never going to come out, ever."
