Alaska's POV
"I'm going to keep annoying you till you tell me where we're going, Jace!" I stated as I impatiently drummed my fingers on my lap. I hated feeling so clueless and it didn't help at all when I was fully blindfolded.
"Just a while more sweetheart." Jace assured and I sighed in relief. It took me every ounce of strength to keep my hands to myself and not reach out to rip off the black cloth over my eyes.
And that's why it felt so good when the car finally came to a stop. I eagerly unbuckled my seatbelt and lunged to open the door but a set of warm hands stopped me.
"Calm down Ally, that's my job." Jace whispered from right beside me. I heard him opening his door next and slamming it shut before he came over to my side and opened my door for me. He grabbed my arm and gently pulled me to my feet before closing the door.
"Few more minutes, princess. We are almost there."
I nodded and allowed Jace to pull me forward with him by my side. I moved cautiously, feeling slightly uncomfortable with the fact that I couldn't see where I was going. But I clung on to Jace's arm and trusted him to lead me in the proper direction.
"Can't you guess where we are?" Jace asked and I could almost hear him smirking. I relied on my other senses to figure out where we were but I was getting nowhere till the faint smell of salt hit my nose.
I inhaled deeply and true enough, the salty breeze hit me again, but this time it was much stronger.
"Are we at the beach?" I enquired and Jace chuckled next to me in response. Now that I couldn't see his face, I just realized how hauntingly beautiful his laugh was. Even a simple chuckle from him could make my heart race and my stomach somersault.
After what seemed like eternity, Jace finally pulled me to a stop. "Ready?" He whispered next to me and I nodded eagerly.
I waited patiently for Jace to pull off the god forsaken cloth off my face but my hands couldn't keep to themselves as I helped Jace with the knot.
"I really hope that you won't get disappointed." Jace muttered before the black cloth finally came off. The breeze lightly caressed my hair, sending it in various directions around my face.
I opened my eyes at the same time I assembled all my hair back in place and gasped as I took in everything that was before me.
There was a small pathway right at my feet that was outlined by lilies. As I looked up, I realized that the pathway led further down the shore and I turned to Jace instantly, smiling like a 5 year old who just got ice cream.
"Come on." Jace led me down the pathway and I walked with him till we reached a huge tree at the end. I looked back and saw that it was right smack in the middle of the beach where we could watch the sea and hear the waves crashing against the shore.
It wasn't too near the sea so as to attract attention from the passersby but it also wasn't too far that we couldn't enjoy the sea view. It had a certain sense of serenity that warmed my heart.
"Ally?" Jace called out to me and I spun around. Only this time, my eyes didn't land on Jace but to the thing behind him.
"Oh my god." I muttered as I stepped around him. There was a tent built on the sand in front of me which was decorated with fairy lights in and out. I walked towards it and leaned into the tent to see the inside but Jace stopped me.
"I want to walk you in. Take off your shoes." He instructed and I nodded while slipping off my flats.
Jace did the same with his shoes and he pulled me into the tent. I wiggled my toes before stepping in so that no sand could get inside. Once I was in, I could see every detail clearly and if I were to describe my feelings in one word, it would be: stunned.
