OUTSIDE THE MIST DOJO
"Wait, are you serious?"
Tanjiro was even baffled, "Wait, you're positive?" He questions. "If my plane flies longer, once out of ten rounds....then I win the entire thing?"
Muichiro smirks to both Tanjiro and I, "Yeah.....it's only fair since you won't be able to beat me....." he claims, with a knowing grin.
So, he think he can beat us, well I know Tanjiro can do anything with his heart set to a challenge. That's for sure.
"I can at least win one of the ten....." Tanjiro confidently spoke; only to see him looking to second guessing himself.
Patting him on the back, "You've got this Tanjiro...." with a chuckle.
"There's only one way to find out," Muichiro grins wider.
Tanjiro locks in, "Right, ready when you are!"
Every slayer that was being mentored under the mist Hashira stood on the side, while another had a drawing board to tally up who wins the most. Even Mr Kanamori was present on the sidelines as well, whom was Tokito's swordsmith. Stepping back to allow them space, Muichiro and Tanjiro stood side by side with their paper planes made and ready to fly.
"Alright, when I give the signal.....please toss them at the same time!!!" Mr Kanamori announces, raising his right up. "One......two......three....." raising his hand down in a chopping motion. ".....go!!!!!"
Tanjiro and Muichiro threw their paper planes in the air, as Muichiro's plane managed to keep moving in a single line. However, Tanjiro's swerves shortly which meant that Muichiro's plane had won.
"This rounds winner is Lord Tokito!" Mr Kanamori declares.
"You've got this Kamado!!!!" One of the slayers encourages him.
"Yeah, you'll get it next time!!!!"
This continues on for a long while with Tanjiro's plane swerving and not lasting as long as Muichiro's, as my eyes watch Tanjiro's confidence to fall. His face grew even more in despair and almost defeat. It was surprising to think Muichiro was so good at paper planes, wondering how he managed to find a hobby like this. Slowly but surely, Tanjiro cries out realising he's losing more rounds until he's final last.
"No! There's just one more round!" Tanjiro cries out, as he was on his knees with tears in his eyes with a fake smile.
"Give it all you've got, Tanjiro!!!" Kanamori encourages him.
"Right, I do have to win once after all...right?" He spoke, with a slight strain and disappointment in his voice.
Just when they did once more again throwing their planes, he eventually lost the final round which meant that it was all for nothing. Tanjiro was flat on hands and knees in defeat, and dejection from this competition. Bending down I pat him on the back, "K-Kaito.......I lost...." His voice strains, grabbing my shoulders tightly. ".....why did I think this was such a good idea--"
"There's no way I'd lose.....I said that, right?" Muichiro reminds Tanjiro.
"Y-Yeah but I still thought I could beat you at least once!" Tanjiro fires back, releasing my shoulders while looking frustrated.
"Hashira!!!!!" A familiar voice calls, seeing Yutama approach us. "Would it be alright if I challenged you? I'm good with paper aeroplanes!"
Soon another slayer raises his hand, "Me too, I once beat everyone in my village!!!"
