AT THE UBUYASHIKI MANSION
"Please to see you well,"
Walking into the room there knelt down was Lord Gyomei kneeling at the front, Lord Giyuu, Lady Mitsuri, Young Muichiro all lined side by side, and Lady Shinobu on the opposite side. Shinobu's words of acknowledgement brought a gentle smile on my face, before walking to the centre between Muichiro and Shinobu. Kneeling down on my knees I rest my blade on my right, and closed my eyes.
The rain had stopped for a moment, seen it was rather an overcast kind of day today. Even the emergency meeting was questioning, wondering what it could be about if not my assumption.
Sitting there for a few minutes I could feel exhaustion creeping up, knowing my insomnia was worse when Sanemi wasn't around. It wasn't the fact my partner was there, it was that security of having someone there, to ease my head and heart to let my thoughts cool down. With everyone quietly sitting, two spots were vacant for the Wind and Serpent Hashira.
After some time of waiting for the two to arrive, the sound of footsteps approaching the room from the hallway, soon enters, "Are we the last ones to show up?" Sanemi asks; his voice deep and mellow.
"I see we've kept you waiting," Obanai comments, trailing behind Sanemi. "Forgive us."
Sanemi's eyes meet my own seeing relief in me showing up, seen I haven't seen him for a while week, except he saw me the other day unconscious. He brushes his calloused fingers tips across my cheek briefly lifting my chin slightly, "You doing okay?" he murmurs quietly, his voice laced in concern. He towers before me, while I gaze up to him with a reassuring smile.
"Yes, I'm fine," I reply soft; before he hums in relief.
"Good......" before padding his way to his spot, right beside Lord Gyomei.
"You needn't worry," Lord Gyomei assures the two; in response. "Thankyou for taking that mission."
"No problem," Sanemi replies; sitting down with his legs crossed, placing his blade down. "Kanroji, Tokito....Mizutsuki.....I heard you three some Upper Ranks."
Mitsuri's smiles with a nod, "It was intense, at one point I thought I truly was done for, but Lady Hayami had my back up against one," She replies, with a positive attitude. "But we all pulled through as a team, right Muichiro? Lady Hayami?"
Muichiro nods with a hum, before a troubling sigh and grumble follows from Sanemi's lips.
He rests his elbow on his propped up knee, "ahh....I wish i could've been there too," He sighs. "Man how come I never get to run into Upper Ranks?"
"It's out of our control, all we can do is leave it to fate. " Obanai scowls slightly, before turning to Mitsuri and Muichiro and glanced at me. "Kanroji, Tokito, Mizutsuki, phyiscally.......how have you been since?"
Mitsuri's flushes with a smile, "I'm okay, thankyou for asking,"
(Mitsuri's thoughts: 'Wow, he's really worried about me?!')
"So am I, although I haven't fully recovered yet," Muichiro replies, nonchalantly with a slight bit of light in his eyes.
Eyes follow upon me while still feeling the aching sensations, mentally and physically I'm still healing. Wait, did Iguro just ask me how I'm doing as well, or was it because it's in front of everything that he felt obligated?
"I'm doing alright," I assure him softly, my hands on my lap in a gentle manner and position. "As for me, I'm still recovering myself...."
"Good to hear," Lord Gyomei spoke; gratefully. "Losing anymore Hashira will put the corp at risk. Defeating two Upper Ranks without losing your lives, was noble of you."
