—First Person POV.—

Chaos.

Screams rang like war bells.

Footsteps thundered in every direction, armor clashing and boots slamming against the stone floor—I sprinted, heart hammering in my throat while my lungs burned.

Voices caught my attention and I slapped a hand over my mouth—muffling my labored breathing as much as I could.

I skidded to a halt and flattened myself against the wall just as a cluster of Honshu's guards barreled around the corner, steel flashing at their sides.

"She's loose!" One of them barked, breathless with fury "The Hunter's free, don't let her leave the castle-grounds!"

Hunter?

They stormed past, not even glancing my way as I pressed deeper into the shadows, heart thudding behind my ribs like a war drum—I didn't move until the last guard's voice faded down the corridor.

Then I bolted.

No time to think—only the rhythmic drumming of my pulse in my ears as I sprinted through the twisting halls.

My initial plan was simple—get back to my temporary chambers, check the servants room, and hopefully find Shoto there.

He had to be hidden still— A part of me doubts he would've moved since Honshu didn't seem to know where he was either, and if I was lucky, they were too distracted by Izuku to check.

As I rounded the next corner, something up ahead shifted—a blur of movement, where a silhouette caught at the edge of my vision in a flash of dark fabric.

A figure vanished down the winding staircase.

Not Honshu's men.

My gaze snapped upward, drawn instinctively to the thick iron-banded door at the end of the hall.

The upper tower.

The memory struck like lightning—one of the guards earlier, informing:

"The dragon's been delivered to the upper tower. He's been bound and chained down— Didn't even fight."

My feet slowed to a stop.

My thoughts didn't.

I could leave—I should leave. Everything in my body told me to turn around and that I could be wasting precious time not finding either of my beloved's.

If this 'Hunter' was an enemy of Honshu and she was breaking in to find someone she loved just as dearly.. Then she might be the only storm fierce enough to buy me time.

And I could use a good distraction.

I glanced over my shoulder—hallway still empty—before slipping a hand up my sleeve.
