—First Person POV.—

We've been given our last day before the first ball to pretty much do whatever.

Freedom—given with a drawback.

As much as I'd love to go out and have fun running around a large castle—I didn't want to risk acting like an idiot and inadvertently getting caught by a certain Prince possibly prowling the halls.

Itsuka wasn't able to hang out due to having plans with another one of the lovely ladies staying here with us and Kinoko had already gone off early this morning to complete her little mushroom hunt.

Now, I was sitting in my empty bedchamber and stuck staring up at the equally as empty ceiling—eyes glancing off to the walls every now and then for anything possibly more boredom quenching.

I'd already eaten so that was out of the picture..

And if I wanted to write stories I'd need some kind of parchment because coming up with scenarios in my head would put me on the brink of schizophrenia I think.

Okay, maybe I'm being over dramatic— But that's what happens when you literally have nothing to do.

Just me, and this overflowing amount of monotony.

With a long sigh escaping my lips, I hoist myself up and off the bed, pacing around my room a bit while my eyes trail off to the door.

It wouldn't hurt to simply find something to bring back and keep me occupied for the next few hours, right?

And after a few moments, I found myself grasping onto the cool handle—lightly tugging it open so I could peak my head out into the thankfully empty corridor.

Just go and come back.

I stepped out and let the door fall shut behind my figure, gaze cautiously flickering around as I started off down the hall—embarking on my own personal quest for some unused parchment.

Out of all the rooms we had looked into during our little tour the other day, there would be only one that could possibly hold what I'd need.

And so, I jogged through the halls—the warm rays of midday glancing off of my being as I passed beneath them, and only slowing down to not look suspicious when a group of servants had passed by.

Blending in was actually a lot easier when there was no one to question just where you were heading—making my mission all the more easier as the library's door came into view.

The large desk I had seen around a few times now should have some kind of paper, since it was where the Prince wrote off on documents—he wouldn't even be present here, more likely chaperoning one of the other ladies within the castle.
