WHAT?? Catching Feelings beat My Atlantis in the vote this week? I'm speechless
—First Person POV.—
Two days later and Sunday dawned—successfully marking the beginning of another week.
Itsuka and I strolled together towards the lake sectioned near the center of the very gardens I've become accustomed to over my stay at the castle.
And after making it out from that leafy overpass I'd first walked through with the Prince—my eyes catch sight of him just a few feet away, knelt among the rose bushes, and bathed in the early morning sun that paints the crimson petals in vibrant hues.
The castle grounds buzzed with activity as guests, servants, and castle staff bustled throughout the garden.
Though, in spite of the crowds, I was never able to spot a familiar head of dark hair amongst them— Which reminds me, ever since the incident with the thorn yesterday, I haven't seen the Traveler at all.
It wasn't a big deal, really—but the way he had closed himself off afterward left me wondering if he was avoiding me.
Normally, I wouldn't think much of it, but something about the way he looked so pale before then—made it hard to ignore.
Did he become so sick he was bedridden?
I quickly shook my head and averted my gaze, trying to distract myself from my thoughts.
Off to the side, a few guards stood scattered about—their armor gleaming under the same sunlight as they watched over the scene with quiet vigilance.
Speaking of the suns rays..
As usual, the Prince's curse had receded, leaving behind the scar that marked his left side—and I have to avert my gaze when amidst the flowers, that warm light seems to form a gentle halo around his head.
Thankfully, the Lady at my side dragged me off to go look at some flowers further down the trail—effectively distracting me from the man when his head tilted our way.
My attention had been drawn as the garden get-together continued— Making a part of me question why we had to be up so early for this..
Maybe I was starting to become spoiled, I swear my bed is magically growing more comfortable and it's getting harder to get out of it by the day.
After an exhausting hour of being dragged around by Itsuka—and feeling a bit disappointed that I hadn't caught even a glimpse of Izuku amidst the crowds—the gathering finally dispersed, and we all returned to the castle for breakfast.
I'll have to admit, it was a nice day and I'd completely forgotten about the Prince during the walk back—
"I hope you found a fun way to spend your time during yesterday's hunt." Only for that monotonous voice to come up from behind me—actively making my body jolt as I snapped my head back to meet his mismatched gaze.
