I was still racking my brain for what else I could do to make Luna stop being mad at me. Damn it, she could at least take my jacket. It was freezing, and her stupid thin top was soaked, nipples practically poking through. If she had just let me put it around her shoulders—

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. When did trying to protect her become this complicated?

My phone buzzed with a text from Jeff.
"Bro, over here."

I glanced up, spotted him across the pool area sitting in the middle of a bunch of people. What the hell was going on there? Looked like half the party had gathered.

Jeff caught my eye and waved me over. With another sigh, I shoved my hands into my pockets and made my way through the crowd, dropping down next to him.

Ashley was on Jeff’s other side. The moment our eyes met, she looked away, face going slightly pink. Chris was next to her, scowling at me before rolling his eyes and turning away.

"Thanks, man," I muttered quietly to Chris. Even if he hated my guts right now, he had stepped up earlier when I needed him.

He didn’t reply. Just kept his jaw tight.

"Ignore him," Jeff said, clapping a hand on my shoulder. "He’ll come around, you know how Chris is. Stubborn as fuck."

"Yeah," I grunted, leaning back. "What’s all this anyway? Why’s everyone crowded here?"

Jeff was about to answer when Tiffany’s obnoxious voice broke through.

"Oh Travis, good you’re joining!" She was scribbling something on a slip of paper, then shot me this sly look. "Still my bad boy, even if we’re on a break for now." She winked.

I just stared at her. Confused and annoyed.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"

She didn’t answer, just hopped up, grabbed a mic from nowhere, and shouted for Molly to join or pay her fine.

"What game?" I turned back to Jeff, who was rubbing his temples.

"It’s some insane spin-the-bottle strip truth or dare shit," he finally said. "Whoever it lands on picks truth or dare. Do what you're ask or take off a piece of clothing, If you refuse, you pay a penalty. They pooled money, 2k each for anyone who skips. Crazy, right?"

My eyes widened. "What? I’m not playing this shit!" I half stood, ready to walk off, but froze.

Because right then, Molly and Luna walked up to a nearby table. For a second, I panicked, thinking Luna was joining. But she just sat down near us, avoiding my eyes when they met. Her arms were wrapped around herself, still trying to hide her chest. It pissed me off all over again. She should’ve just taken my jacket.

I settled back down, but my foot kept tapping restlessly.

The game started, the bottle was huge, like Drake brought it on purpose. Show-off. He strutted to the center, smirking like he owned the place.

"Once this starts, there’s no backing out!" he yelled, grinning at the crowd. "You all know the rules, yeah?"

Half of the students cheered.

I glanced over at Luna. She was biting her lip, eyes darting around like she regretted even coming to this part of the party. Good. Stay right there, I silently told her. Stay the hell out of this.

The game started with Drake spinning the bottle and him asking his friends the lamest question I've ever heard.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"
