The second I stepped out of the car, Kyle reached for my hand.

"Still can't believe I get to walk around with you all day," he grinned, swinging our hands a little as we walked into the mall.

I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway. "You're too cheesy for your own good."

He chuckled, then glanced at me, like, really glanced and paused mid-step.

"Um... okay, please don't take this the wrong way," he started, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"But... I noticed you didn't really get a chance to dress up today. Like, you look cute, you always look cute, but I just thought maybe, if you want, we could... pick out something?"

I blinked. "You want to change my outfit?"

"No, no! I mean, ugh, that sounded bad." He groaned. "It's not that I don't like what you're wearing, I swear. It's just... I know today was kinda spontaneous and maybe you didn't have time to plan, and I just thought it might be fun? To shop. Together."

I stared at him for a second.

He looked so nervous. So sweet. Like he was waiting for me to scream at him or run off.

"You don't have to do that," I said softly.

"But I want to" he replied, tugging me gently toward the escalator. "I'm your boyfriend, Luna. It's nothing. Just... let me spoil you a little today, okay? I promise next time I'll ask first."

I sighed, trying not to smile. "Fine. Just this once."

And I swear, the way his face lit up? Like he just won the lottery.

Fifteen minutes later, he was practically trying to buy the entire mall.

Designer bags. New sneakers. Statement jackets. Pretty little dresses in every color. Accessories I didn't even know existed. Kyle was a man on a mission.

And me? I just kept laughing. I couldn't help it. I mean, who knew retail therapy actually worked?

He made me try on so many outfits, I lost count. Every time I stepped out of the changing room, he had something to say, something cute, or flirty, or just straight-up ridiculous.

"Oooh, now that's trouble," he'd say. Or, "I'm pretty sure you just broke five hearts walking out in that."

And I'd roll my eyes, smack his arm, and go back in for the next one.

For once, I wasn't thinking about Travis. Not even a little. I was too distracted, by Kyle's smile, his dorky jokes, the way he twirled me in front of the mirror like we were dancing in a rom-com montage.

He didn't just treat me like his girlfriend. He treated me like I was his whole world.

And that part? Kinda messed with my heart.

The last dress I tried on was a soft pink one, short, snug, with a low neckline and a silky texture that made me feel... wow. I stepped out hesitantly, tugging at the hem.

Kyle looked up and froze, dramatically

His jaw literally dropped. "Don't move," he said, eyes wide. "Seriously. Stay right there."

I crossed my arms over my chest. "It's too much, isn't it?"

"Too much?" He laughed breathlessly. "Luna. You're... wow."

The mall assistant behind him nodded in agreement. "You should wear that out," she said, clearly impressed.

I blinked.
