I stared at the main menu of the game in confusion. Slender: The Eight Pages. Huh . . . I'm not really that familiar with computer games. Actually, I barely played anything on a computer besides visual novels.

I clicked on 'start game' and my laptop froze for a second before loading the game. Okay . . . I don't know what to do here.

Agh, forget it! I'll play it after I get home, I'm leaving in a while anyway. I don't even have a mouse and this laptop isn't really built for games.

I exited the game and was back to the website, filled with Slenderman fanfictions. I almost let out a laugh again, but managed to hold it in for my own sake. I want Byron to see this. He will see this.

I clicked the fanfiction that I previously read and tried to copy the text, but I remember that it's not possible to do it in this website to prevent other people from stealing the stories and claim it as their own. I simply took a screenshot of the part of the story that I read.

I stood from the couch and made a quick run upstairs to grab my printer under the bed. I haven't used this since I moved, the last time I used it was to print out job applications. Thank God that's over. I carefully carried it downstairs and connected it to my laptop.

I grabbed pieces of paper under the coffee table which also contains a bunch of other stuff since I usually finish my tasks in the living room. I only printed the page of the story where Slenderman kissed 'Lorraine' who, I'm assuming, is the main character. Awww, that's disgustingly sweet, yet so fucking weird. I really want to see Byron's face when he reads it!

Getting all giddy and excited, I decided to print the whole chapter of the story after editing the screenshots, it seems like the story is fairly short. The chapter I read looked like the last chapter. I'm not entirely sure, the website changed so much from what I remember.

After I was done printing, I shut my laptop close and disconnected the printer. I grabbed a stapler from under the coffee table beside me and stapled the three pages of paper.

I folded it in half and chucked it in my rugged bag before heading for the door and leaving my house. Locking the door behind me, I looked at my watch to see that I still have plenty of time. Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to go to work a little early than usual. Besides, Droney's probably always late since he's an irresponsible slob. Either way, I'll be in the office with people I'm not conformable with, the other professors don't seem to socialize with each other very much . . .

It's a little stressful, but I only have two classes at the college. I'll be heading over to the high school afterwards to teach again.

With that thought, I skipped my way towards the college. It's farther, but I still like walking than taking the bus. Come to think of it, I still haven't explored much of the other side of the town. Probably because of annoying people stalking me for laughs.

I can't believe they have the nerve to stand in front of my house in the middle of the night to try and scare me! Well, it didn't work! They must think I'm crazy to believe that Slenderman is real . . .

Oh, shoot. I didn't mean to insult the people in this town . . . I guess they're, uh, just heavily influenced by myths? Especially Byron?

Shaking my head, I kept walking until I've reached the college grounds. The gates were widely opened with a swarm of students passing through. I blend into the crowd as I head inside the building and into the office.

My face immediately turned into a scowl of hatred as I saw the back of Dronkey's head as he did something on his desk, which is partially my desk as well. Ugh.
