Monday, 6:40AM
I frantically grabbed my bag, wore my shoes in a flash, and bolted out the doors, not forgetting to lock them. God darn it, after I got home from the farm at six in the morning, I decided to stay up until it was the actual time to sleep, which is at night.
I only had a few hours of sleep at Benjamin and Rosanne's farm and it wasn't even a good stay. Since I was wide awake from when I got back home until night, I was exhausted and slept like a baby. I lacked rest and the constant thinking and worrying about what happened to me is stressing me out. I also worried about my head, the bruise is still fairly visible.
Now I'm late!
I slept in too much and it's Monday, I'm such a great teacher. It's already 6:40!
Oh . . . well, I have a few minutes 'til my first class, but I have to prepare a bunch of papers and reviewers, I forgot exams are nearing in, it literally didn't cross my mind. Although, I feel kinda good today, a lot better than yesterday.
Maybe it's because I made sure to be safe by bringing pepper spray with me, I mean, it could be really helpful.
Wait . . . how am I gonna use it if they always wear masks?
I slowed down as I realized my failure and resumed walking as I gawk at my stupidity. Well, that's fantastic. What am I gonna do if one of them decides to show up again?
Damn.
As I reached the building, the guard seemingly recognized me and easily let me through the gates. I sprinted once again as I entered the building and headed inside the office. Unsurprisingly, everyone was there, but only Jacob was busy preparing for their classes.
Lance and Austin wasn't in here, neither is David. But Byron is also in here, I guess he looks busy enough with his usual paper-checking and . . . frowning . . . heh, what a way to start Monday.
For some weird reason, I feel somewhat happier seeing him and wanted to approach him but after noticing the bad atmosphere between Ryan and Rachel who both aren't doing anything besides stare at nothing.
Jesus, I thought they would already fix that matter but judging by this scene, they probably haven't spoken to each other ever since.
It kind of feels awkward to greet everyone at this time so I just laid my bag on my desk, making Byron's desk shake as I did so. He almost spared me a glance, yet it his eyes really didn't move from the paper he was reading.
The dead silence is horrible. You can only hear pens scribbling on paper and the constant tapping Ryan's making with his fingers and desk.
Now Jacob kept his things and went out, he looks very cautious about the situation as well. He probably know what's going on.
Geez.
I walked to the back of the room where files and other important things are stored. I looked for the file cabinet labeled 'Arts' before finding it at the center. I pulled the top drawer open and found a bunch of paper. By the looks of it, they were reviewers that summed up lessons and such. Rachel told me about this, these file cabinets of every subject contains reviewers, written pop quizzes, homework options and other useful things.
Jacob originally thought of this technique where they store everything they make and categorize them according to the subject and the grade level it is for. That way, future teachers or even themselves can use it as reference or, hell, they can just use it as it is. Some of them were made so long ago by people who don't even work here anymore and some recently made by them. I thought it was a weird idea but it turns out they revise it yearly so the reviewers, projects options and other things are updated.
