I spent the whole day exploring the school with Rachel and asking her about it. I got my schedule, talked to the principal, I basically know about the things I'll be doing. I just can't wait to start working tomorrow.

Rachel and I walked back inside the empty office, "Did they go home?" I asked.

"Probably, it's getting late." Rachel mumbled as she stared at the window, "Sorry, I didn't know telling you about the school could take this much time." She gave an apologetic look.

"No, I'm glad you helped." I smiled at her, "What time does the school close anyway?"

"Around 8 p.m." She walked towards a cubicle, "This is your's." Rachel grinned and tapped the table, "You can bring your stuff and keep it here."

"Cool, I can't wait to start working." I beamed.

"Yeah, it's really fun in here." She nodded as she sat down on her chair, "By the way, your cubicle is paired with Byron's. Sorry, it's the only one that's unoccupied, I could switch with you if you want." She offered.

I shook my head, "It's okay, I don't really mind."

"He can be terrifying if you looked at him." She laughed.

"Why?" I questioned.

"You'll find out, eventually." She stood up from a chair.

"Uh huh . . ." I gave her a puzzled look, "Anyway, what subjects do you teach?" I changed the topic.

"English and literature." She smiled before looking at her wristwatch, "Alright, let's go home, it's almost seven." Rachel grabbed a bag on her desk, "Are you taking a bus or . . ?"

"I'll walk home, my house isn't that far." I informed.

We headed out of the room and flicked the lights off before she shut the door. I glanced sideways at the empty hallways, the students probably went home already. This place is so different at night, not all the lights were turned on so there were a lot of shadows over the lockers, some of the lights are even flickering on and off.

"C'mon, it's creepy in here!" Rachel squealed and made a run towards the main doors.

I laughed as I ran after her. I'm not really the type to get scared easily but I believed in ghosts, this is one of the things I gained from spending time with Dylan and Darwin. I wonder how they're doing . . .

We reached the door and headed outside to be greeted by a cool breeze, it wasn't that cold, it wasn't that hot either, it's very different from home. Back home, once you went outside, all you'll smell are smoke and other unpleasant things, but no matter how bad it sounds, it's still home.

Rachel greeted the security guard goodbye as we passed through the gates, "Well, where's your house? Mine's this way." She pointed to the left of the school.

"Mine's there," I gestured to the right, I'm glad I remembered where I've been, "So, bye bye?"

"Yeah, I guess, be careful on your walk home." She smiled, "See you tomorrow."

"Yup! Have a good night!" I waved both my hands as we walked in different directions.

It's only 6:30, I really have nothing to do yet and I easily get bored, especially now that I'm alone and I have nobody to annoy. I should give them a call once I get home . . .

I shivered as the wind blew on me, I should've brought a jacket. The school looked really great, I just have to bring the things I needed tomorrow.

Why not now?

Hmm . . . I think I'll arrange my things now, it's not that late, I could still come back to the school since my house is like a ten-minute walk. If I do it now, I won't have to wake up extra early tomorrow.
