I walked out of the local drug store as I bought a few stuff like medicines and maybe some snacks, luckily, Rachel lend me a few bucks. I tiredly headed to a certain direction, I'm off to the police station, I'm gonna tell them what happened and hopefully, my bag would be there. After my examination at Helena's clinic, she prescribed a few medications like painkillers and antibiotics for my elbow. Apparently, it got a little dislocated. And you know what they did?
Rachel held me down while Helena forcefully yanked my arm to get it back on it's right place. It was done without warning too! All they did was give each other a knowing glance and proceeded on their plan, it fucking hurt like hell. I was practically wriggling in pain on the floor afterwards until the pain subsided after a couple of minutes.
Fortunately, the simple technique really did help and my elbow was fine now.
The building came into view as I kept on walking, I started running to save more time, I was actually planning on going back to school and reach my next classes after I take a bath at home. I'm alright and I don't really wanna get fired.
I walked inside and spotted a few officers around, some looked busy and some weren't. I stepped towards the desk and gave a small smile at the lady behind it, "Hello, um, I just have some important business . . ."
"Oh, what could that be ma'am?" The woman politely asked as she returned my smile.
"I'd like to report a man," I straightforwardly said, "I'm being stalked."
She paused and widened her eyes at the blunt information, "A stalker?" she stood up, "Please follow me."
I clumsily followed after her as she walked inside a dingy room, "Uh . . ." I mumbled.
"Take a seat." She gestured to the chair on the other side of the table while she sat on the other one across from it. I hesitantly sat down, I hope this won't take too long, "Ma'am, I will need you to give me every detail from when you started seeing this 'man'." She took out a pad and pen which I never saw her brought in with us.
Unsurely, I recollected my thoughts and started from the day I first saw the man in that yellow jacket; the day I shopped for the field day. Then I narrated it from where I saw a shadow from my window and nearly blacked out because of the same symptoms, I proceeded on telling her all the little details from what happened and finally told her about waking up in the middle of the woods.
"Mm hmm . . ." She nodded as she wrote down what I said, "This is unusual . . ."
"I thought these stalkings were nearly a normal thing in this town." I gave her a confused look.
"It is, I meant it's unusual for you to remember everything in detail." She replied.
"What do you mean?"
"Most people don't remember a thing, like everything that happened was just a . . . trance." She took off her glasses and stared hard at the table, thinking.
"But . . . what am I supposed to do?" I asked, "I'm in danger."
". . . Leaving the town won't help," she informed which made me give her a weird look, "A few people who's been stalked left this town before, no one has seen or heard from them ever since and they were declared missing for years already." she looked up at me, "So far, nobody was ever found, almost like they stopped existing."
"Then, what?" I leaned on my chair, not knowing what to do anymore, "What on earth could I possibly do to make it stop?" I said, frustrated.
"Well . . . there are rare cases of the stalker leaving the 'victim' alone for good."
