Zane has his eyes closed in a dark area.
???: My emperor...
A voice says, which wakes Zane up. He finds himself clad in samurai armor, sitting on a throne, with the staff with the scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu.
Zane: Is this...?
He then looks down and sees someone standing at the bottom of the stairs.
Vex: As you commanded. I sent your Ice Samurai to the village.
Zane then sees a vision of Boreal and the Blizzard Samurai, raiding and freezing the village of the Formlings as they all scream for help.
Zane: No...
He says as he watches in horror.
Zame: No! Don't do that! Vex!
He tries to get up, but then ice starts to surround his body, making him groan as he tries to move.
Vex: What do you mean... "Don't do that", my Lord? I don't understand. Didn't you command me to destroy anyone who defies you?
He says, which renders Zane speechless.
Vex: I've done nothing wrong. It was your choice, my Lord.
He tells Zane from behind, as Zane has a horrified expression and struggles against the ice that is freezing him.
Vex: The only thing I've done is to give you advice. You could have refused to do all those things. Why didn't you resist, my Lord?
Zane: Gah! You tricked me!
He closes his eyes and clenches his teeth in frustration.
???: Do you think you have the right to say that?
Zane opens his eyes to see Akita standing in front of him, glaring.
Akita: Because of you... The Formlings and I have been suffering for decades.
She says, which prompts Zane to look at her with a remorseful expression.
Akita: Not just us, but so many beings in the realm had to be harmed and lost their lives. No matter how much you regret and deny it, the atrocities you committed will never go away.
She then pulls out her dagger beside her.
Akita: You can... YOU CAN NEVER BE FORGIVEN!
She then stabs Zane in his chest with the dagger.
Zane: Aargh!
He yells as he gets up, huffing and puffing from the nightmare he just had. Zane stares blankly in his room and looks down, feeling guilty about what he did. Although he was manipulated into acting as the Ice Emperor, it doesn't change that he is responsible for all the deaths he caused.
Zane: I should've protected those who couldn't protect themselves.
He tells himself as he recalls a memory of himself and his creator, Dr. Julien.
Zane: I had been oppressing the weak and punishing them.
He says as he remembers his time reigning as the Ice Emperor.
Zane: I am so sorry. What I did was so shameful and guilty. I have no face to see my father again... I really want to forget about it. No matter how much I rearrange my memories, no matter how hard I try to delete them... why do these things keep popping up right in front of me?
He asks himself as he sees a vision of you and Lloyd, partially normal and partially frozen, when he nearly killed you both.
Zane: The sensation I felt when the scroll was in my hand... it still feels so real to me. Whenever those thoughts come to mind, it makes me feel terrified and horrible. I'd rather not think about it anymore. I didn't want to be miserable. I'd rather not remember. The whole truth. That I would not tolerate.
