Previously on The Elemental Ninja of CHS...
Sunset and Twilight approach you with a proposal to join you as ninjas, along with the other girls. At first, you're unsure, but they persist, and you eventually accept. The girls tell the Dazzlings about it, and the Dazzlings get excited, too. The next day, you call your other girlfriends to confirm, and they get excited too.
Some of the girls come over, and you lead them into the training room. The girls change into spare black ninja gis you had, while you change into a sensei kimono that your father had given you. You begin training the girls by teaching them a range of techniques and even by having them face off against one another.
You continue training the girls, watching as their skills improve over time, until eventually, you give them their final tests. One day, while you and the Rainbooms are in Canterlot City, you spot a thief stealing jewels and chase after him. After a long chase, you all finally catch the thief, throw him in jail, and enjoy some puffcakes. You also give the girls new ninja gis as a reward for completing their training.
Suddenly, you all see an unfamiliar noodle truck pass by and rob a bank. You and the girls stop the truck and discover the thief is the Mechanic. The girls each take a turn hitting the Mechanic before he gets back in his truck. The other Ninja arrive to help, but the Mechanic quickly speeds off, leaving you all behind. Later, the Mechanic is shown upgrading his robo-arm according to instructions from a computer program called Unagami.

It has been a few days since you taught your girlfriends about the way of the Ninja. After the Rainbooms finished their test, you checked on the other girls and had them take theirs as well. After doing well, you rewarded those girls with their own ninja gis as well. The girls even learned how to perform Spinjitzu, which surprised you greatly. The girls thank you for the training and continue practicing on their own time.
As for the Ninja, ever since the Mechanic appeared in Canterlot, they have made sure to check not only Ninjago but also Canterlot to find where the Mechanic might be lurking. Wu, P.I.X.A.L., and Misako have returned to Ninjago so that at least they can oversee Ninjago while the Ninja stay in Canterlot with you.
For now, though, everything has been going well for everyone.
Today, you and the girls wake up and head downstairs for breakfast. You go over and make some eggs with toast and pancakes, and serve them to the girls. The girls are delighted by this and thank you for it as you all eat.
(Y/N): So, girls, do any of you have anything planned for today?
Twilight Sparkle: No, I don't really have anything special for today.
Adagio Dazzle: Same here, nothing much.
Aria Blaze: Me too.
Sonata Dusk: Me three.
Sunset pauses and thinks for a moment. She then remembers something she wanted to do.
Sunset Shimmer: There is something that I have thought about doing, but haven't gotten the chance to.
You and the others turn to face her.
(Y/N): Yeah? What is it, Sunset?
Sunset pauses, takes a deep breath, and looks to tell you.
