Okino, after learning the truth of his world, feels upset as you all try to cheer him up. You all then reach the Cliffs of Hysteria, but find yourselves stuck on how to get to the top. Fortunately, a man named Shifty helps you supply a grappling hook and rope, even if the rope has some questionable integrity.

Then one of Unagami's drones comes in and spawns Red Visors to eliminate you all as you all try to make your way up the cliffs. Eventually, you take care of all of them while taking one along and rebooting to learn Unagami's plan, which is to construct a device that is a portal from Prime Empire into the real world.

You all then enter the Maze of the Red Dragon while trying to avoid several booby traps along the way. You all ask Okino for guidance, but then Unagami intervenes, telling him about his plan, and that if Okino wishes to see the real world, he must betray you and your allies, leaving Okino unsure what to do.

You all then reach the center and find the Red Dragon, lying in slumber as Jay tries to reach the Key-Tana, but fails to do so, and the Red Dragon wakes up and starts attacking. You all try to fight it, and Okino tells you all how to defeat it, in spite of Unagami's warning. After the Red Dragon is defeated, an amulet appears; Jay takes it, and then Okino decides to go on his own journey.

(A/N: For reference. I know this short isn't part of the episodes included in this chapter, but I decided to put it in anyway because I thought it would be fitting.)

Back in Ninjago City, Gayle Gossip is reporting on the Prime Empire trend.

Gayle Gossip: There's a new trend sweeping Ninjago City, and it's called Prime Empire. It's a video game that popped up seemingly from nowhere, but if you scratch the surface, something strange is going on. And I'm going to get... a closer look.

An old Prime Empire commercial starts playing, showing two kids in an arcade, groaning with boredom.

Commercial Narration: Bored of the same old tired games? Think there's nothing new? Well, think again.

Smoke then appears out of nowhere, and the two kids see an Arcade Pod featuring the Prime Empire video game, which makes them excited. The game then displays a video of an avatar traveling across Prime Empire while fighting off several enemies.

Commercial Narration: Prime Empire is a gaming experience like no other. Giving you eight whole bits of graphics! From the Temple of Madness, to the Forest of Discontent, to the futuristic Terra Technica. You'll never experience anything like Prime Empire. Coming to an arcade near you.

The commercial then stops.

Gayle Gossip: That commercial never aired, of course. Prime Empire was shelved for reasons that are still unclear. What happened? Why did Vast Industries shut the game down? The game's programmer, Milton Dyer, was a legend in the gaming industry, cranking out hit after hit after hit. Perhaps the reason has something to do with an undisclosed incident that occurred in Vast Industries on the eve of the game's release. Dyer certainly isn't talking. He's been in hiding ever since. Is he behind the sudden reemergence of the game? And if so, why now?
