Previously on The Elemental Ninja of CHS...
A samurai warrior from Terra Karana, known as Okino, trains himself to become a guide for a master so that they can achieve victory. Many players have come and gone, but none have proven successful, and all have lost their lives and been turned into energy cubes. Okino, after witnessing many players die, starts to lose hope.
After talking with a successful samurai about how he has a positive mental attitude, Okino determines that in order for his master to succeed, he himself must change. After some very intense training, he is greeted by another player who successfully completes all the challenges, only to die right before the last one.
Okino then loses all hope, until you, the Ninja, and the girls enter and let Okino guide you, which brings his spirits up. You all then deal with the challenges brought forth by the Forest of Discontent and progress successfully, in hopes of getting one of the Key-Tanas needed to defeat Unagami. At one point, a humanoid Rat known as Ritchie and his friends ambush you all.
You all then tie Ritchie up, and he tells you about a glitch he found that can help you reach the Key-Tana faster. He leads you all to the glitch, and you all follow him, just to be met with several Red Visors who start shooting and making you all lose a ton of lives. Okino then comes in to help, and you all make it through the glitch in time and end up right outside the Forest of Discontent and in front of the next zone.
(Opening Theme: Arcadian Whip)
A bird screeches as it soars over the sky. Meanwhile, you, the Ninja, and the girls continue forward with Okino following behind, dragging his sword on the ground sadly after learning the harsh reality of his world.
Lloyd: I'm worried about Okino. He took the news pretty hard.
Cole: Wouldn't you? If you found out your whole world was nothing but a simulation, and you were part of it?
Sunset Shimmer: I know I'd be devastated to discover that for myself, too.
(Y/N): Yeah? Well, what can we do?
Nya: We can try to cheer him up.
Lloyd: Yeah. Okay, nobody say anything about Unagami, or Prime Empire, or the Key-Tana.
Kai: Well, what do we talk about?
Lloyd: Anything. Just keep it cheerful.
He says, just as Okino catches up to you all, passing by, still dragging his sword on the ground and looking down. Jay then goes up to him.
Jay: Uh, so, Okino, what do you do around here for fun, anyway?
He asks with an awkward chuckle.
Okino: Fun is an illusion.
Cole then rushes over.
Cole: Hey, how about that sky? Look at those clouds!
Okino: The clouds...
He looks up at the sky before glaring at it.
Okino: Lies!
Kai then comes in and pushes Cole out of the way.
Kai: Say, Okino, how do you get a ninja to cross the road? You say, ninja-go! Get it?
He snickers as Okino looks confused.
