Racer Seven decides to join you all to race in the Speedway Five-Billion, still a little unsure about whether she can truly win or not. Just then, some Red Visors come in to attack you all. Scott offers to fend them off as you all make it to the Speedway. Scott creates a distraction while you and everyone else drive off in your vehicles to make it to the Speedway. Eventually, Scott gets shot and turned into an energy cube as the Red Visors plan to enter the Speedway as well.
You and everyone else make it to the Speedway as it starts, trying to get into first place to get the Key-Tana, and avoid the many obstacles, including the Red Visors. Eventually, Kai, Cole, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Indigo Zap, and Sugarcoat take out all the Red Visors, which in turn causes them to lose their last life and get cubed. Racer Seven then conquers her programming and crosses the finish line to get the Key-Tana.
You all then head into the last zone of Prime Empire to get the Key-Tana. The first part requires going through a side-scrolling platform, which only some of you make it with, the rest getting cubed. You all then have to run through an upward maze until Nya helps you all reach the top with an Airjitzu cyclone.
Then one of you has to fight an opponent, and Lloyd offers to handle it. Before him, the fighter appears to be Harumi, who tries to persuade him while also trying to attack. The two clash as Lloyd struggles to fight back, but he eventually realizes she's not the real Harumi and takes her out. Unfortunately, he gets cubed by the end of it, leaving only you, Jay, Nya, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Pinkie Pie, Lemon Zest, and Sonata Dusk remaining.

Back in Ninjago, Zane starts an investigation of sorts as an opening shot of grey-covered Ninjago City comes onto screen, showing everyone living their daily lives, even a beaver searching through a trash bin, before a jump scare.
Zane: Ninjago City. My city. I know it like the insides of my own circuits. Which is why I know... it has a dark side. My best friends are trapped inside an immersive video game called Prime Empire. Yeah, you heard that right. They're being held there by a villain named Unagami. But "Unagami" isn't his real name. It's as fake as a used car salesman's smile. His true identity is Milton Dyer, the computer programmer who designed Prime Empire. The only hope for them getting out of the digital world rests on finding Dyer in the real world. My world. I was fishing for leads, but for now I find myself adrift on a sea of dead ends....
He monologues in a classy detective accent. He then turns around at the sound of footsteps approaching.
Zane: Then... She walked in.
The person approaching is none other than his significant other, P.I.X.A.L., and the colors return.
P.I.X.A.L.: There you are, Zane.
Zane: She said, shining the only ray of light into my dreary world!
He continues with the accent, confusing P.I.X.A.L.
P.I.X.A.L.: Who are you talking to? And why are you dressed like that?
She asks as she sees Zane wearing a trench coat over his ninja gi and a fedora.
