Previously on The Elemental Ninja of CHS...
Back in Ninjago City, Zane, P.I.X.A.L., and Rarity conduct an investigative search hoping to find Milton Dyer, with Zane and Rarity dressing up as detectives and narrating their thoughts out loud. They eventually come across the karaoke bar, Laughy's, and get into a fight with the other guests while still narrating their detective thoughts. After the fight, the bartender, Tony, calls out to them, reveals himself as Dyer's childhood friend, and tells them to go to Buddy's Pizza to find something.
The three of them head over there and are suddenly ambushed by the Mechanic and his henchmen, who knock them out. Later, P.I.X.A.L. and Rarity wake up to find no one else in sight and search around. P.I.X.A.L. decides to use the detective strategy that Zane and Rarity did, and eventually finds a secret passageway. They go through it to find Milton Dyer on the roof, who reveals he is not Unagami and that the title "Unagami" was for the Prime Empire.
Milton Dyer then tells P.I.X.A.L. and Rarity about his progress on the game, and that when Scott first played it and got trapped inside, he shut it down because he didn't understand what it was. Meanwhile, the Mechanic has Zane taken captive and shows him the Manifestation Gate he's building to help Unagami enter the real world.
However, he needs the motherboard, which Zane claims was destroyed. When the Mechanic threatens to hurt Master Wu, Zane gives in and shows him the motherboard. Wu then sends a distress signal to P.I.X.A.L., and she and Rarity head to the warehouse where the Mechanic is, with Milton Dyer following. Once there, the two fight off the various henchmen while the Manifestation Gate opens a portal.

You and the others stand in front of two conveyor belts with spinning blades leading to the Temple of Madness.
Lemon Zest: What the heck is all of this?
Nya: Every single path leads straight into a spinning blade.
Sonata Dusk: Ooh. Seems very dangerous.
Jay: Look at there! See it? There was a thing, for a second. There's another!
He says while pointing to some blades that glitch out for a moment.
(Y/N): I saw it! It's like the game has a glitch!
Nya: Back on Dyer Island, we learned this was Dyer's very first adventure game, but it was never released because of problems.
Sunset Shimmer: Looks like we found one of them right here.
Pinkie Pie: How do we get past them, though?
Jay: Video game obstacles are usually on a timed loop.
Nya: So if we get the timing down, we can make it to the other side.
Jay: But the glitches are unpredictable, and we can't get past them safely.
Nya: Then I guess we'll have to improvise.
Jay: Just like dancing.
(Y/N): Sounds like a plan to me.
Starlight Glimmer: A-Are you sure? I'm not really that good a dancer. I could barely dance well back at the dance-off.
(Y/N): Don't worry. I'll help you out, Starlight.
You smile as you lend her your hand. Starlight smiles and then grabs your hand.
