Weeks later, the streets were filled with demons waiting to enter the Hazbin hotel, but not everyone was a fan of the so called 'tacky hotel' just yet.
"Good morning, Pentagram City." Tom Trench greeted the sinners of Hell, indirectly.
"This is Katie Killjoy."
"And I'm Tom Trench."
"Bringing you the latest in Hell's hottest news." Katie's enthusiastic voice echoed throughout the entire city. "Tonight's top story: What the fuck is going on at the Hazbin hotel?"
"That's right, Katie." Chuckled Tom, "It's been a while since Heaven attacked Hell and the Morningstar sisters and the Hazbin hotel brutally slaughtered the invading angels and kinda-sorta saved us from the extermination."
Katie kicked her co-host off his chair, "When you're done sucking toes, Tom, I'd like to remind you that Heaven still hasn't made their next move. Are they coming back for revenge, or is this yearly nightmare finally over?"
"Both Morningstar's have declined to come on the show to comment." Tom added, finally getting back up to his seat. "Pussies."
"But we will keep asking until we break them. Because the world needs to know, Tom. Will they stop at angels? Are you next ? Is your dog or cat next ? Will their bloodlust ever be satisfied? Who's at the top of the Morningstar sister's hit list? Maybe it's me ! This segment brought to you by... Voxtek. 'Trust us with your everything.'."
The lobby of the Hazbin hotel was pack to the brim with sinners from all over Pentagram City wanting to get answers for their many, many questions. Alastor looked down at the poorly fixed staff in his hands, his grin seemingly darker than ever. This was definitely not how he expected things to turn out. He turned his attention to Vaggie, who was greeting incoming guests with a bright smile. "Hello and welcome to the Hazbin hotel." She greeted a guest, cheerfully, "My name is, uh, changing. For now, call me Vaggie. Have a lovely day, here's your key, thank you so much for staying with us. I know you're here, Alastor, can you help out, please?"
Alastor appeared, his smile still never feigning, "Mm, this seems like a you problem, Vagene." Alastor mocked, walking away as to avoid even more work.
"Really? What happened to the whole 'host of the hotel' thing? What would Andria say?" Before Vaggie could get another word in Alastor teleported away as the swarm of news reporters got closer to Vaggie, appearing next to Lucifer, who gave him a cold glare, despite his disheveled morning appearance.
"Where are the Morningstar sisters? Is it true Charlie drinks angel blood to improve her 'gay powers'?" One reporter asked.
"Are they off killing more angels? The public has a right to know." Another demanded.
"Is it true this hotel is recruiting a hellish army? And should I divorce my wife?" The last man commented.
"Um, no. What ?" Vaggie asked, clearly confused.
Over at the bar, Husk set down several made drinks, "I have three Torment and Tonics, four virgin sacrifice Piña Coladas, and something called a 'Harder Daddy'?"
"Oh, that one's for me." Angel said as he grabbed the pink drink from Husk, "My favourite drink and life motto." He explained, downing the drink. "Whoo!" He cheered, "That's a hard daddy."
Husk rolled his eyes, "Angel, how about you help me serve these drinks instead stead of letting you pig gobble my nuts."
Angel gasped dramatically, "Husk, don't say it like that. He's little. Besides, I am working. I'm celebrity endorsing the hotel."
"You do know that Andria can do that herself , right?" Husk pointed out.
"Yeah, well, she ain't here right now, is she ? Now, watch and learn. Who wants to come stay at the Hazbin hotel with me ?" Angel asked the crowd sensually, causing them to cheer.
Husk then turned his attention to Cherri, "Cherri, how about you? You're part of the hotel now, right ? Why don't you help out?"
The woman scoffed at his implication, "Whoa there, pussycat. I'm hanging at the hotel. I'm not staying at the hotel. Big difference. I ain't booked a room or nothing."
"Sure." Husk hummed. "Anyway, get your pig off my bar." He smiled at angel.
"Has anyone seen Charlie and Andria? There are reporters here asking some fucked up questions. On that note, do you guys know where Dante and Athena are? They aren't with Alastor and i don't really want them running into all...this ." Vaggie asked, flying over to them.
"I think I saw them in the lounge. They've been keeping Pentious' little egg company, mostly Charlie though."
"Thanks."
"Uh, when you see Andria, can you ask her if she or maybe Charlie's still up for the therapy session today? I'm kinda getting into talking about feelings and junk."
Meanwhile, upstairs, Charlie was sobbing as the one surviving egg, Frank, showed the four of the the different statues of Pentious crying.
"Here's when Pentious cried after he was caught spying. And here's when Pentious cried when you forgave him. And here's when Pentious cried when he first lost to Cherri Bomb. And here's when Pentious cried after telling me I'm the most handsome egg boy he's ever seen. I made that one up." Frank said, handing Charlie a handkerchief.
"Wow, Uncle Pentious cried a lot." Dante noted.
"Y-yeah, Dante, h-h-he really d-did." Charlie sobbed into the handkerchief as Andria rubbed her back.
"Momma, why did Uncle Pentious cry so much ?" Athena asked, curious about her 'deceased' uncle.
Andria turned to her daughter, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, "He was a...passionate soul, sweetheart."
"Oh, he was!" Charlie cried, "He t-truly was the best of us. Or at least the most snake."
"This is Pentious's death ray. He'd want you to have it." Frank said, offering the broken machine to Charlie.
"He invented the best things. Even though a lot were scary weapons that hurt people. But we were working on that." Charlie continued to sob.
Suddenly, Vaggie burst into the room, a stressed smile evident on her lips. "There you guys are. Did you maybe want to come down and say hi to the new guests? We could really use your help. There are reporters here and..." Vaggie trailed off, seeing her girlfriend drying her tears as she stood. "Are you okay?"
"Uh-huh. Everything is great." Charlie chuckled nervously(as well as unconvincingly), "Great, great. Why wouldn't everything be great, right sis?"
Andria hesitated to answer, but Athena beat her to one, "No it's not. Auntie Charlie was just crying about how much she missed—,"
"Oookayyy, Athena, that's enough out of you!" Charlie said quickly, covering up her niece's mouth. "Like I said, everything is great." Charlie continued, handing Athena to Andria. "We beat Adam, and the hotel's packed, even though lots of people died, but-but it is so great."
Andria and Vaggie shared a look of concern, "Babe, I feel like you're still processing what happened."
"If you want, Vaggie and I can handle the hotel duties, talk to those reporters?" Andria suggested.
"We can help, too !" Dante added, earning a cheerful nod from his sister.
"Wha..? Pfft, it's fine. Guys, it's fine. I'm perfectly calm. Calm and find. Fine and calm. Let's talk to those reporters. I bet they want to know all about how redemption works, just like everyone else who's staying here, right ?"
"Right. Yeah..."
