Alastor woke up one morning feeling, quite literally, like death. He was both hot and cold at the same time, his throat was scratchy and sore. His head was throbbing and he kept coughing. Andria was concerned so she gave him a thermometer to take his temperature. He assured her that he felt fine, which was obviously a lie. The thermometer beeped in his mouth and Andria came over to take it out, "Well, you definitely have a temperature. I'm sorry, sweetheart, I know you don't like the reality of it, but you're sick ."

"Nonsense! I don't get sick !" Alastor protested in an attempt to save his masculinity.

Andria rolled her eyes at his prideful antics, "Sweetheart, there's no shame in being sick, it's natural. Even for demons."

"Bullshit ! I haven't been sick since I was a toddler. That was way over a millennia ago."

"Well, you're definitely sick now. You need to stay in bed and rest." She soothed, pulling the sheets up to his chest.

"I'm not a child, Andria. I don't need to be treated like one." He pouted. He was getting slightly irritated, not at Andria, but at the fact that he was, in fact, sick for the first time in years.

Andria gave him a warning look, "Don't use that tone with me, Al. I'm only trying to help you get better." She scolded, turning away to walk to the bathroom, wetting a face rag with warm water. Alastor sighed, he didn't mean to snap at her, he was just frustrated that he was being treated like a helpless little child. He hated feeling like that. Andria returned, placing the warm, wet face cloth on his forehead, "This should help soothe your headache." She said, bluntly, clearly still upset from the tone he used.

"Darling, I'm sorry for snapping at you. I just...I don't like being treated like I'm helpless." He muttered, groggily, taking her free hand in his.

"I know you don't, love, but I'm trying to help you so you don't have to feel like this for longer than you should." She replied, her gentle tone returning.

"And I appreciate that, my love. Could you please find it in your heart to forgive me?" He whimpered, bringing her hand to his flustered cheek, snuggling into it as he looked at her with apologetic eyes.

Heaven knew she couldn't resist his adorable gesture, "How could I stay mad at you." She kissed his forehead and walked over to the door, "I'm going to go and feed the kids , will you be okay on your own?" Alastor nodded meekly. She blew him a kiss before leaving.

Andria was downstairs making chicken noodle soup for Alastor as Niffty the twins entertained, which she so loved to do. Lucifer popped his head into the kitchen, attracted by the delicious scent of cooking soup, "Hey, apple candy . Something smells really good . What ya making?"

"Chicken noodle soup for Alastor ."

"Alastor? Why would he need it?"

"He's sick and between you and me, he's bit grumpy." Lucifer almost burst out laughing at the thought of Alastor being sick.

"Alastor? Sick ? Now, I truly have heard it all." Andria smiled as she looked at her kids playing with Niffty.

Her mind wandered to Alastor's mom, she had no idea that she was a grandmother now, it made Andria feel guilty, "Hey, dad, can I ask you something?" She said going back to stirring the pot of soup.

"Sure, ask away, apple candy."

"When Charlie and I were born did.. did you ever feel guilty that your dad... uhm, God didn't know."

Lucifer hesitated briefly. The subject of his relationship with his father was a...complicated one to say the least, "Well, when you were both born, I obviously had no way of communicating either of your births to heaven. Not that anyone would've cared in any case, but...it was hard not having my...family, I guess, to support me and I suppose part of me wished that I could have told them. Why'd you ask?"

"Well, you see Alastor's mom doesn't know about the kids and after the whole extermination thing I think we're the last people Heaven would want to even communicate with, but I feel like she deserves to know."

Lucifer sighed, "I understand it's hard, Apple candy, but it's not so simple this time, especially after the extermination, but I'm sure we can find a way to get the word to her, we just... need to figure out how."

Andria sighed, "Thanks, Dad, hey can you watch Niffty and the kids while I bring this to Al ?" She said pouring a steaming bowl of soup.

"Sure, sweetheart." Andria bent down to kiss his cheek before teleporting upstairs. Lucifer turned his gaze back to Niffty and the kids, his eyes widened when he saw Niffty, holding a rather large needle, running after a bug, "Woah, hey, Niffty, slow down!"

Alastor was still feeling terrible, but he was fortunately able to get a little sleep which made his aching muscles relax a bit. He sat there silently under the covers reading his hell copy edition of The Great Gatsby to entertain himself when he hears the door click open, his radiant wife entering the room, "Hey, love, how are you feeling?" She asked sweetly.

She approached with a bowl in her hand, setting it down on his side table and sitting next to him on the bed, "Still like my second death." He croaked out, "But you being here makes me feel much better, my love."

"That was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard."

"Wow, I feel so loved." Alastor said sarcastically, rolling his eyes dramatically.

"Oh, hush, you know I'm only teasing. I brought you some chicken noodle soup to make you feel better."

"You truly are an angel , my love." He said he closed his book.

"I was... also talking to my dad about your mom."

"My mother?"

"Yeah.. I just-...I feel so bad for her that she doesn't even know she's a grandmother now."

"Darling,  I'm sure she'll understand. We'll figure out how to let her know one day, but for now, I'm content with my family right here." He burst into a coughing fit as soon as he finished his sentence.

"Aw, my poor hubby." Andria cooed, her heart aching at the sight of her sickly husband, "I know what will make you feel better."

Alastor raised an eyebrow as his wife climbed under the sheets, snuggling up next to him and wrapping her bat like wings around them both, "Darling, what of the children?"

"Hmm? Oh they're with Niffty and my dad, I'm sure they both doing great."

"Niffty! Please put down the needle! I don't think that's considered child friendly!" They both heard Lucifer yell from downstairs.

"I'll text Charlie to check on them though."
