Pentious stood in the midd of the entire angelic council utterly confused as to why he was suddenly in Heaven. "Well, this is...quite the warm welcome." He said to no one in particular as the angels in the room were preoccupied arguing bickering with each other about the fact that a demon had ascended.

"Nothing like this has ever happened before."

"We shouldn't be worried about this . We should be making things right." Emily  tried to calm masses , "We need to make things right. We need to go down and talk to Charlie." She insisted.

"What is the meaning of this, Sera?" One of the elder angels questioned.

"You commanded an extermination of Hell, and you kept it from us? How long has this been going on?" Another angel asked.

Tears rolled down Sera's face as she couldn't bring herself to speak, to admit to the guilt, to admit to the pain she had caused so many souls. "This extermination has always been wrong! We bear some of that responsibility." Emily spoke on the behalf of her sister seraphim.

"Now the demons have managed to kill the leader of our army? What if Hell wants vengeance on us now?"

"Will the Morningstar return?"

"What was it? I don't...Adam? But dead? Should be...I don't know really." One of the other angels babbled some incoherent nonsense.

"A sinner has made it to Heaven? How is this possible."

"Was this redemption?"

The angels continued to bombard the Seraphim with questions. "You told us souls were decided, that nothing could change that. We trusted your word that this could never happen."

"It can't." Sera finally answered, her eyes falling condescendingly upon the snake like man in the centre. "You, demon. How did you get here?"

"I, um...I-I-I don't—," Pentious stammered.

"How did you get here? You had to have forced your way in. Was it the Morningstar? How did you get past the gate? Peter. Did you let him in."

"Uh..." Saint Peter looked at the unfamiliar face, trying to recall if he had ever seen him. Sera glared harder at him, "I swear to the Speaker I did not let him in."

Emily placed a hand on Sera's arm, "Sera, he didn't force his way in. We both saw it. He ascended. He was redeemed—,"

"Don't." Sera cut her off, "Don't say it, Emily. Please. We need..." Emily grabbed Sera's hand gently, silently offering her some reassurance, "We need answers." Sera finally said firmly.

"We don't need answers, we need action. He killed Adam. That's an act of war. We need to go down and—," Lute tried to protest.

"Lute. Silence." Sera demanded.

"This is the room of the Speaker and I will use my voice."Lute declared, her new metal arm gleaming under the light, Adam's halo fitted around the wrist like a bracelet, " With all due respect, Seraphim, I was right about them. Adam was right about them. This demon filth is not to be trusted. He and his kind should all be dead, and I will make that happen. Just let me—,"
