Chapter 32- The Song Made Him Steel My Heart

[Anna's POV]

It was night time already. I've been with Tyler all day hanging out. But the strange thing is around 1:00 earlier, Patrick ran into someone and just ran away. Did he see me with Tyler? I didn't want him to be heart broken by the fact that I wanted to be with Tyler now. I shook off my thoughts as I realized Tyler and I were in his car. My hair blew in the wind, smile on my face, music blasting Demons by Imagine Dragons. I began to sing along, knowing I sounded terrible but I didn't care. I was having the time of my life.

"Don't get too close. It's dark inside. It's where my demons hide! It's where my demons hide!"I sang with all my might.

Tyler looked over at me. I began to laugh.

"What?"I said.

"You got some tough lungs there!"he said. "Hope they are okay from the terrible signing..."

I pushed him playfully and laughed.

"Just keep your eyes on the road, Joseph"

He didn't like when I said his last name. It drove him crazy.

"Tyler! Just say Tyler!"He said with a smile.

"Alright Tyler...Joseph!"I replied.

"Hush! Just go on and sing..."He said and shook his head.

Thing was, I didn't sing. I was curious of where we were going.

"Uh, Tyler? Where are we going for dinner?"I asked.

"McDonalds..."he said.

"Oh."I said feeling bummed.

He began to laugh. "I was kidding. We aren't going there. I'm taking you...well it's a surprise!"

I sighed. "I hate surprises, Tyler!"

He looked at me with a smile. "But you'll like this one. Trust me."

I sighed once more. "I'm trusting you, homie!"I said.

We soon stopped talking as the next song came on. It was Ghost by my favorite artist, Halsey. I screamed.

"Yes! My song is on!"I yelled.

Tyler reached for his right ear that was next to me.

"Geez Anna! You're gonna blow out my ear drum!"he laughed.

I patted his shoulder. "You'll be fine! Just ignore it if it hurts!"

The chorus was about to come and I danced in the passenger seat.

"My ghost, where'd you go?
I can't find you in the body sleeping next to me! My ghost where'd you go? What happened to the soul, that you used, to be?"I sang.

I began to snap my fingers and wiggled in the seat. All I heard from Tyler was loud laughing. Once again, I punched him.

"Love my terrible singing Tyler!"I yelled.

He shook his head as he drove. "I'm good!"

Time passed and we pulled in a restaurant that was a bit big.

"Where are we?"I asked.

"A famous cafe. The Lighthouse Cafe!"he told me as I got out his car.  (It's a real restaurant. I looked it up. Lol!)

He took my hand as we walked in.

"Come on, let's go!"he said.

We saw a lady at a small booth.

"Table for two please..."Tyler told her.

She grabbed two menus. "Alright, follow me!"she said.

She took us to a table and we both sat down. She handed us our menus and smiled.
