My New Doctor

Chapter 46

Rachel's POV
I was woken up by Harry ready for the first day back in school and I hate it every year but this year is even worse because I'm still on crutches but I was looking forward to seeing grace again.
Harry drive me to school and parked in the visitor area which I was confused about but got out and headed for the front doors after waving him a goodbye.

Harry's POV
I didn't bother telling Rachel I was at her school because I didn't want to worry her in case it was a different year group but to my luck it was Rachel's and I got given my list of students and Rachel wasn't one of mine so I got a little concerned.
I was just heading out when I bumped into Louis "hey mate, so your Dr George's cover?" He ginned
"The one and only, and on my day off" I sighed "you got your list?"
"Yeah just picked it up, they have done all male and all female groups, what's yours?" He asked
"Female, you?"
"Same, hey fancy mixing for the talk so we can share the load and just do the exams separate we are supposed to be next to each other so we can just use your talk room and then our own exam rooms?"
"Sounds good to me, have you got Rachel by any chance?" I asked
"Yeah I have actually" he smiled
"Thank god for that, at least she knows you and I'll be there at first."
And with that we set off to our rooms and soon after our students arrived, Louis brought his into me and I saw Rachel's face go from horrified go slightly relieved to which I just smiled and began the talk. After getting all the boring stuff done we got started on the individual exams.
"Okay I'll have grace first please" I called and she got up from her seat next to Rachel and followed me into the other room. "Sit up on the bed for chick" I smiled while I got her file and blank record sheet out ready to complete it during the exam. "Just checking your pulse okay?" I said while placing my fingers on her wrist and writing it down and grabbing the thermometer "this just goes in your ear" o told her as I placed it in her ear. Next was blood pressure and respiratory rate before I pulled my stethoscope out and placed it on her chest so I could get her heart rate "deep breaths now for me". I finished up pretty quick and got the paper work completed before grabbing some gloves and one of the trays which was set up with the tetanus jab, alcohol pad, gauze and a plaster. I walked over and as soon as she noticed I seen the slight change in her "I know it's not nice but I'll be gentle I promise" I smiled while opening the alcohol pad, she watched my every move as I cleaned her arm off and grabbed the needle "okay sweetheart just turn away and count to ten for me" I said
"I prefer to look please?" She said in a small voice
"Of course you can if you feel more comfortable" I smiled "ready?" I asked to which she nodded. I inserted the needle and heard her whimper slightly "your doing really well, I'm almost done" I said and soon after pulled it out and disposed of that and my gloves before allowing her to go back to the group.
I was jut finalising off with the last student when someone knocked the door "come in" o shouted and in walked Louis "you nearly done?" He asked
"Yeah just the tetanus left now" I smiled
"Okay come into me when your done please?"
"Yeah no problem" I said and he left I turned back to the young girl and grabbed the needle "okay sharp scratch coming up" I said. Once I was done I packed up and headed for Louis room "what's up Lou?" I asked but didn't need an answer when j saw Rachel sat on the bed. "Rachel wanted you to do the tetanus" he said and Rachel looked at me "I'm sorry but I trust you to do it more, no offence to Louis" she laughed so I nodded and Louis handed me the tray and gloves "you know what rach? Your a pain in my arse" I laughed
"I know, I swear I was good though I just really wanted you to do this" she said and turned to Louis as if she needed back up
"In all fairness she did do well and she asked very nicely if you could do it instead" he smiled
"Right okay then" I smiled "you ready princess?" I asked to which she nodded "look at Louis then, sharp scratch" I said and gave her the injection without a fuss.
After that I was done for the day and so I headed home to relax before I had to make Rachel and I food.

Rachel's POV
I got into school and went over to my form class where I saw grace waiting, we were just talking until our teacher came and opened the classroom door. Me and grace where just talking when an announcement came over for all the girls to head to the main hall so the girls on my class got up and made their way there. When we got there we were told that we needed exams and injections and I was ready to walk out but I held it together and followed the girls to reception to find out which group we were in but I was gutted when grace said that she was on a different group. None the less I headed to the room we had been given and waited. All of a sudden the door opened and in walked Harry's friend from the hospital Louis so I was a bit relieved as we had already met, don't get me wrong I was still freaking out but not as bad. Louis then said that we would be joining another group and I was amazed to see Harry stood there when I entered the room, he didn't tell me anything about this.
They both talked about a load of stuff I didn't really care about before starting the exams. I was the last to be called and when Louis was doing the exam I was pretty calm but I didn't like the idea of him stabbing me in the arm so I asked if Harry could do it and to my relief my big brother did exactly that.
After that I only had two classes left before k could leave and before I knew it I was climbing into Harry's car ready to go home.
