My New Doctor

Chapter 10

Ella's POV

H - "it's not an easy illness to deal with but you seem like a strong girl and I'm sure with some support you'll be fine!"

E- "can it kill me?" I sat just twiddling my thumbs

H - "it can be life threatening but only if you don't manage it correctly, certain aspects can cause serious problems but they can all be managed and treated but I'm afraid there is no cure for it and so you will have to live with it for the rest of your life"

E - "okay, so how do I manage it?" I finally looked up at Harry who had the most sincere look on his face I've ever seen, he genuinely cares about me and so maybe I should just learn to trust him, looks like I'm going to be spending a lot of time around doctors now and so I need to get over this, and I'm sure Harry will be the one to help me achieve that

Harry POV

I was just about to explain to Ella that she would need to have a pump attached to her stomach by a wire when Niall walked in with the all the equipment to get her started, it came in a fairly large box and Ella seemed to be very aware of her situation

The look on her face was what can only be described as her being overwhelmed, she was on the verge of tears and I didn't know what I could say or do that could possibly help this situation

Niall's POV

"Hi, sophie asked me to being this down to you" I said to Harry handing him the box
"Hiya love" I said to the girl sat in the chair, she just smiled at me and continued to look at the floor

"You busy ni?" Harry asked me
"Nope, got nothing to do for at least 2 hours now" I said as I remember that I only have two patients this afternoon
"Fancy staying? I know your experienced in diabetes in you?"
"Yeah, deal with at least one patient with it daily I'd say" I replied to Harry "I'll stay, it'll give me something to do as well" I finished my sentence to which Harry just smiled and thanked me

Ella's POV

Well this is just great, not one but two if them will be here the whole time, but to be fair this other guy doesn't look too bad, he's polite and happy but I still don't feel 100% around him

"Sorry I didn't introduce myself, I'm Niall, and you are?" He said sweetly holding his hand out for me to shake
"Ella" I said returning his gesture and shaking his hand, he smiled at me and said "pleasure to meet you" it was only now I realised what accent he had, he's Irish and he has blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen, he's rather attractive I think, as long as he doesn't do anything to me I think with their help I can get through this appointment
