My New Doctor

Chapter 44

Harry's POV
As I pulled up outside our house I got a phone call from Sophie "hello?" I answered
"Harry? I'm so sorry to call you but it's my sister, I think she's ill but I don't know what's wrong" she sobbed out
"Hey calm down, where are you?" I asked calmly
"At the park"
"Okay, I'll come and pick you up and I will take a look at her when we get to my office"
"Thanks Harry!"
"Okay rach Sophie's sisters not very well and so I'm going to go and get them both you can stay home if you like but your more than welcome to come if you like?" I asked turning the engine back on
"I'll come with" she said and I pulled off

Once we reached the park a few minutes later Sophie was stood there with a young girl in her arms, as soon as she saw my car she jumped straight in and we made our way to my office.

"Lay her down on the bed" I told Sophie as we entered my office "what happened?" I asked grabbing my stethoscope and pen light
"She was on the slide one minute and when I looked over the next she was on the floor and I don't know why and I panicked and I just called you because I don't know who else to call because my mother is ill again and I just can't cope" she rushed out very quickly while her breathing got more and more uneven by the second
"Okay it'll be okay, sit down and breathe nice and slow for me okay? I'm going to take good care of her"
"Okay I'm sorry, thanks Harry" she said as she sat by Rachel
"Hello sweetheart, can you tell me your name?" I asked
"Georgia" she whispered
"Okay Georgia my name is Harry and I'm a doctor, can you tell me how you feel and what's wrong" I asked and she just started crying
"Oh no baby please don't cry, it'll be okay, Harry is my friend remember I told you about my him?" Sophie said and she nodded "I promise there's no need to be scared of Harry, he's not like Paul was babe, he's really nice I promise" Sophie said and she nodded again and I made a mental note to ask her about that later.
"Sophie is right princess, there's nothing to be scared of I won't hurt you I promise" I said
"My head went funny and it went black and I fell over" she whispered
"Okay love, that's okay I'm just going to take a look at you and see why that happened okay?" I said and she nodded. I took my penlight and shined it in her eyes to which she turned her head "I know it's bright but try and stay still for me, I'll be really quick" I fished with her eyes and checked her heart and then lungs "deep breaths for me, like this" I said and took big breaths to which she copied. I then took her temperature which was through the roof and I realised its just heat exhaustion and dehydration.
"Good girl sweetheart, I'm all done. Soph, it's just a bit of dehydration and heat exhaustion so keep her cool and well hydrated and she will be fine."
"Ah thank you Harry, I'm sorry I could have found that out but I just panicked I guess, I don't know what's gotten into me" she said as she held her head down not looking at me so I walked over and placed my hand under her chin to make her look at me "just calm down soph, I understand it's hard with family but you've got nothin to be sorry for, I'm here if you need me so give me a ring or just pop over later yeah?"
"Okay thank you so much, see you later" she said as she carried Georgia out of the room and me and rach headed back home for some food.
