My New Doctor

Chapter 62

Rachel's POV
I walked out of the hospital with George and we met Harry and Sophie at the car. We all got in and decided we would stop for food on the way home so I leaned into George and shut my eyes again and before I knew it I was asleep again.
Harry's POV
"Is she asleep again?" I asked George
"Yeah she's out" he laughed
"I don't know what's wrong wit her today she never sleeps this much"
"She said she had earache and she was a bit warm earlier so she could have a ear infection or something"  he said
"Makes sense, I'll ask her after dinner just to be sure she's okay" I said as I got out to grab our food.
After 10 minutes of waiting I collected out food and returned to the car. When we got home we all went inside to have food. Rachel sat the whole time in her hoodie and I was starting to worry a bit. "Rach are you still cold?" George asked as if he had read my mind.
"Yeah I'm freezing" she said and George lifted the back of his hand to her forehead "well you definitely don't feel it, your boiling" he said "still got earache?"
"Yeah" she said quietly
"Can one of us take a look?" He asked and she shook her head no "come on darling just a quick look"
"Harry can then, no offence but I don't want to picture you as my doctor" she said looking down
"That's okay I understand it would make you uncomfortable but just know I'd never hurt you" he smiled and pulled her for a hug. I must admit it made me smile to see them both even though she's my little sister and I'm over protective as she would say I'm glad she chose George, I could get used to them being a thing even though I don't think they are yet, I trust him with my little sister.
"Come sit down then" I said as I grabbed my bag and we all headed towards the sofa "turn your head for me" I said and then took a look in her ear, it looked like she had a real bad infection but I checked her other ear for comparison and decided it was 100% infected pretty badly. "You have an inner ear infection babe, I'll go get you ear drops and antibiotics in the morning but for now take some painkillers and put some cotton wool in your ear, keep drinking as well to try and break your fever"
"Uch, okay thanks haz" she said and I got back up to put my bag away and grab her some water and tablets. She took them happily and laid on the sofa. "Film anyone?" Sophie asked holding up the Olympus has fallen dvd and everyone agreed. Once the film had finished I decided to head up to bed with Sophie as we were both back in work early tomorrow where as George didn't start until noon.
Rachel's POV
After Harry and Sophie went to bed me and George decided to just listen to some music for a bit before he headed home.
"How are you feeling babe?" He asked
"Not too bad, my ear hurts though"
"I know it does, ear infections are nasty but Harry will get you better before you know it" he said
"Yeah I know, it just feel likes a never ending stream of bad luck for me lately"
"I know but you got to stay positive babe, everything will work itself out" he said as he pulled me in for a hug. "You've always got me, don't forget that"
"Thank you" I said
"Rach I want to ask you something" he said and I sat up to look at him and I nodded "I've loved spending time with you lately and I feel like we've got a real connection, now I don't know if you feel the same but I think we could make a real go of being together, if you don't agree I completely understand and I wouldn't blame y-" he said but couldn't finish as I cut him off by kissing him. I pulled away and smiled "id love to" I said and he gave me the biggest hug ever "you sure?" He asked "yeah I'm sure, I'm not saying I won't get spooked every so often by silly things but I really like you too" I said "and me being a doctor is okay?" He asked, I had been thinking about this for a while now so I knew my answer. "I'm okay with you being a doctor just not my doctor if that makes sense? Like I don't mind your job but I don't want to be a patient of yours"
"I can live with that" he smiled
"But if I ever needed it and Harry couldn't help I would trust you" I said and his face lit up
"That means the world to me".
After another half an hour of taking he decided he should head home for the night, I asked him if he wanted to stay but he said we shouldn't rush things and so he left and said he would come by tomorrow before he heads to work, and with that he left and I went to bed with the biggest smile on my face I think I've ever had.
