I went to the supply cupboard and got the ultra sound machine and returned to the room. When I entered the room Ella was sat up and appeared to be having a panic attack, I rushes to her side and began trying to calm her down
"It's okay Ella!
I need you to relax for me!
Take some nice deep breaths
In
And out
Okay, can you look at me and focus on breathing exactly how I am"
I was taking deep breaths in and out while rubbing her arm gently to help her relax. After a few moments had past her breathing had returned to normal and she was far more relaxed
"Ella, I know how scary this all must be to you but I promise I'm going to take good care of you okay? I'm going to sort this out!"
