Chapter 58

Harry's POV
"Samantha Rose?" I called from my door
"I think she popped to the loo, I'll send her in when she comes back" Sophie smiled from the reception area
"Okay cheers soph" I shouted and went back in my room leaving my door open

"Dr styles called you sweetheart, he's just in his room there you can go on in" I heard Sophie say cheerfully
"I thought I was seeing a women?" The girl replied nervously
"Your old doctor left a few months back and you have dr styles now, there's nothing to worry about though he's lovely"
"I don't know, I've always had a women" I heard her reply quietly
"Would you like me to come with you?" Sophie asked and seconds later there was a knock at the door and Sophie popped her head around. "I'm just going to sit in if that's okay?" She asked
"Yeah no problem grab a seat, hi Samantha my name is Harry" I smiled "what can I do for you today?"
I watched her look back and forth between me and Sophie a few times before moving her gaze to the floor, I looked at Sophie and she just shrugged her shoulders
"Is everything okay?" I asked and she looked up sucked in a breath and nodded
"Nervous are you?" Sophie asked and she nodded "there's nothing to be scared of, if you tell us why your here we can try and help you"
"I - I have a lump in my breast" she stated nervously while staring at the floor
"Okay, how long has it been there?" I asked
"About a week" she said
"Okay, I would like to take a look if that's okay with you?" I said and she looked to Sophie who smiled at her for encouragement
"Okay" she nodded
"Okay so just come over to the bed for me and take off your t shirt and bra" I said while putting some gloves on. "Which breast is it love?" I asked gently when she had removed her clothes
"Left" she whispered
"Okay, I understand your scared but just try to relax for me, I'm going to feel your right breast first then the left okay?" I said and she smiled and nodded "lie back and put your right arm above your head for me". She did as I asked and as my hand touched her she jumped and gasped, "just try and breathe, I'll be as quick as I can" I smiled. I checked her right breasts and then left before telling her she could get dressed again and come sit back down.
"Well I found the lump you was referring too, in my experience it doesn't feel like a cancerous one does but I'll refer you to a specialist just to be on the safe side, does that sound okay?" I asked and she nodded while a single tear slid down her cheek "you okay?" I asked as I handed get a tissue and she wiped her eyes before replying "yeah, I've just been so worried" she sighed
"I bet you have, it's unlikely that it's anything sinister so try not to worry" I smiled and then she got her things and headed for the door turning briefly before leaving and saying "thank you both for all your help" I bid her goodbye before closing the door and turning back to Sophie "so I've finished my shift, you ready to leave?" I asked her after I had given her a quick kiss
"Yeah let me just go get changed, won't be long"  she said and left my room. It was 3:20 and Sophie and I had just got into my car when my phone rang and Rachel's face popped up on my screen
H - hello?
R - haaaazzz?
H - what have you done?
R - I must have missed the bus, I've been here since 5 past though it must have been early, can you come and get me please I'm soaking
H - okay I won't be long babe, just leaving the hospital now
I hung up the phone and put my seatbelt on, Sophie was sat with a questioning look
"She missed the bus" I laughed
"Oh bless her I bet she's freezing, it's cold running from the building to the car park, had she gone back in side?" She asked
"No they lock the gates of the school after everyone has left, she's missed it a few times before, I do warn her to take a bigger coat though" I sat as I pulled out of the car park
"You should teach her to drive haz, it would be so much better for her"
"I can't do it, I'll pay for her lessons but I can't teach her" I laughed
"That'll do, of course you don't have to listen to me I just thought it would be helpful for you both cause you won't have to pick her up and -" she rambled before I cut her off
"Soph breathe, I think it's a great idea" I laughed at her and she just blushed a deep red
5 minutes later I pulled up to a bus stop to find a very wet looking Rachel, she got in the back of the car and she was drenched
"Take your jumper off babe, you can get changed as soon as we go home as well, you'll make yourself bard otherwise" I said
"Okay, I'm sorry I didn't mean to miss the bus" she said
"It's okay babe, you know I don't mind picking you up" I smiled even though she was behind me "and I was thinking about getting you some driving lessons, you can drive yourself then?"
"Really? I can learn to drive?" She said excitedly
"Yeah of course you can, I didn't realise you wanted to or you could have started sooner, you should have asked babe" I laughed at her sudden change in mood
"Ah thanks haz, your the best" she said
"I know, I know"
When we got home and made the girls go put some warm pjs on while I made tea, Sophie brought some clothes over since she stays here a few nights a week.
When the girls came down we found Rachel a good driving instructor and booked her lesson for Saturday morning before sitting down and watching some tv.
