Chapter 11 - Before the Finals

Mai's POV

Its been about a week. The genins finally finish their second exam.

I got news that Hiruzen's old student who went rogue came and attack Sasuke and it seems he gave Sasuke a curse mark.

I'm really worried for them. Expecially Sasuke.

Uchiha...

One of the strongest clan around since my time, yet they're also one of the most easily influenced clan...

I sigh.

Kakashi told me... About Sasuke and his brother...

Now I stood beside Hiruzen, and some other Jounins, Konoha's and other villages' jounins as well.

In front of us stood the Genins who survived the exam. And it seems all of Konoha's genins are still here.

I smile proudly.

Hiruzen starts with the introduction.

And well....

I zoned out... Hiruzen needs to make his speech a little more interesting.

Or well....at least shorter...

Anyways, they'll be having preliminary before the actual match.

The match starts with Sasuke and another Konoha ninja by the name of Yoroi as the first match.

Before they begin, Kakashi and I went to Sasuke.

I place my hand on Sasuke's forehead and check on him.

"How are you feeling? Any major injury or anything?" I ask, worried.

"N-No, I'm fine...Just some cuts and bruises..." He said.

His face went all red. He's blushing.

I smiled.

"If you say so..." I said.

"Sasuke... Its better you dont use your Sharingan" Kakashi said.

Sasuke's body tense up.

"I know..." Sasuke said.

"If it happen, then I'll have to stop your match" Kakashi said.

Sasuke didn't say anything.

"Mai, lets go up" Kakashi said and walk upstairs.

"Sasuke, do your best and be careful" I said.

He nod.

I went up to where everyone is. I found Naruto and the others.

I stood beside Kakashi and look down in concern.

"I'm sure he'll be alright..." Kakashi whispered to me.

"Yeah...I'm still worry though..." I said.

The match starts.

As Sasuke fights his opponent, it seems to be harder and harder for him to fight. Not only that, he's using only taijutsu...

When he was provoked by the opponent, he activate his sharingan and the curse mark appeared.

Kakashi's about to jump down but I stop him.

"Wait, look properly" I said.

He look at Sasuke as I told him.

He's supressing his curse mark.

Thats my boy.

He then use, Lee's Shishi Rendan, according to Sakura and Naruto.

Sasuke won the match.
