Chapter 16 - First Meeting

Mai's POV

I look down, watching everyone from the hokage mountain.

"Looks like there's trouble" I mumbled as I sense someone else's chakra then the usual...

I jumped down and head towards where the trouble is.

"What do you think you're doing?" I said.

Kurenai, Asuma with their eyes and even Kakashi's down. Gai in front of them.

I look in front to see two figure in a similar cloak. One with blue skinned man. And another one...

"Uchiha Itachi I assume?" I said.

He look at me. His sharingan activated.

"There's no use trying to put me in a genjutsu. It wont work" I said.

"Mai-san, dont go near him" Asuma warned me..

Come to think of it, Kurenai and Asuma were both closing their eyes. only Gai seems fine..

"Dont worry. Its fine" I said.

I walk towards the two men. The one in blue attack me with his sword.

"Hm, a chakra eating sword. Never had that during my time" I said.

"Heh, And you're implying you're older then Samehada?" The blue one said.

"Mah, something like that. Now, may I ask, what is two Akatsuki members doing here? State your purpose" I said.

"We're looking for the fourth hokage's legacy...." Itachi said.

"Hmm.... Naruto huh? Well, unfortunately, he's not here. But I cant let you have him though" I said.

"Kisame, we're backing off" Itachi said as he look at me curiously.

They then immediately run off.

"Are we going after him?" Gai ask.

"No, not yet. Lets take Kakashi away first. He needs some healing" I said.

Asuma carried Kakashi to our house. Yes, I call it ours since we live together. Asuma then place him on his bed and I heal him.

He groan and then open his eye.

"How are you feeling?" I ask.

He tried to sit up but immediately lay back down.

"Not so good...." He said.

I smile. He'll be fine.

"But seriously, of all people who come... And at this time were our village is in its weak state..." Asuma said.

"Why is Ita---"

"Shh, hold on" Gai said as he motion to the door.

Just in time, Sasuke came in.

"Kakashi, No one's answering the door so I jus---" He stop talking as he saw us in here.

"What is all the jounins here? And why's Kakashi on the bed? What happen?" He ask.

"Nothing to worry about. We jounins just spar a little and I kinda beat him up too much" I lied.

Kakashi laughed painfully.

"hah...." He look at us curiously.

"Anyways what is it that y---"

I cut Kurenai off and teleported behind Sasuke and kick the person behind him downstairs.

"What was that?" Sasuke ask.

"Ah, I thought it was a creeper" I said.

"Whatever then, I'm going to do some self training since Kakashi cant help out" He said and went off.
