Chapter 43 - Reunited in the War

Third Person's POV

Hashirama look at his bestfriend. She have survived longer than he did, she found love and started a family. One war after another... she was broken... Right after she killed someone special to her... It was even more obvious that she was even more broken... After that day, he make sure to keep an eye on Mai just in case she did something... stupid.

"Mai" Hashirama called her.

"Hm?" 

"You know very well what you're about to face right?" Hashirama said.

"Yeah... I know. And I have to face him. It's time for me to face him once and for all..." Mai said.

"Him?" Sasuke ask.

"My Regret" Mai look at Sasuke, smiling sadly.

"Uchiha Madara" Itachi said.

Mai visibly flinch when Itachi said his name.

"You flinch everytime his name is mentioned. You look sad every time people talks so poorly about him" Itachi said.

Mai look ahead of her, with a sad expression.

"I was suppose to do it, Mai. You don't have to, I'll deal with him" Hashirama said.

"No, he's our responsibility. I'll go with you" Mai said.

"You have people to take care... I couldn't risk you dying. I'm edo tensei. I'll be fine" Hashirama said.

"No... I have to face my fear. I have to...It's time" Mai said.

"Mai..." 

Meanwhile~~

The war continues to rage on. One side where Naruto leads the fellow shinobi to defeat the Juubi....

And Kakashi who has been fighting against Obito.... against his past.

As Shikamaru comes out with a plan to at least slow down the Juubi with a doton wall as a shield.... they still couldn't stop the on coming bijuudama heading towards hundreds of shinobis.

As Bee and Hachibi tries to protect as many as they could, the bijuudama vanish in thin air.

A unique shaped kunai landed in front of Naruto and Sakura. And then a person landed in front of them.

"Am I late?" He said.

Naruto smirked.

"Nope. Just on time, Tousan!" He said.

Not far away from the battlefield, a kunai landed near the body of water.

"Who...?" Sakura said in surprise.

"My name is Namikaze Minato. Brace yourself for an impending explosion" He said.

Not long after he said that, a huge blast from the sea was heard, making a big impact on all shinobi, almost blowing them away.

"Whoa!! Whats happening?!" A shinobi asked.

"I sent the Juubi's attack off into the sea" Minato said.

As Sakura and the others brace the impact of the attack, she saw Minato's edo tensei eyes.

"Yy-your eyes..." She said.

The explosion come to a stop and Minato turn to them.

"Are you an ally... or an enemy...?" Sakura asked.

"Don't worry I'm an ally. Thank you for healing Naruto. Are you his girlfriend?" Minato ask, smiling slightly.

"Eh? Hmm... ummm... yeah! I guess you could say that!" Naruto answered.
