Chapter 13 - The Start of Training

Mai's POV

Even with Chouji's strive to have more yakiniku later on, he still lose. I can understand that, since his opponent is an experience shinobi.

I saw Asuma sigh in relief.

I chuckle slightly and patted his back.

"Kakashi, I'll be going to Sasuke now" I said to him.

He look at me for a while and then nod.

I smile.

"I'll just visit him and come back" I said.

I can see his expression lighten for awhile. Something must have happen a while ago.

I smile at him again and teleported to the hospital.

I can feel my chakra coming back slowly. And I'm able to move and fight like normal again thanks to the incident in the Land of Wave.

I sense Sasuke's slight chakra and went in the room after confirming the two anbus guarding the door.

He still stay asleep on his bed. I sat on the chair beaide his bed and look at him.

"You really do look like Madara, Sasuke... I suppose almost all Uchihas have the same traits in a way" I chuckle slightly.

I push aside his hair covering his face.

"You dont have to hide. Just come out" I spoke up.

I sense the two anbus faint and I block the upcoming kunai aimed towards my neck with my steel fan.

"Ah, Kabuto, was it? The one who dropped out from the exam. It seems someone really is plotting something in my village" I said.

"Tch!" He jump backward and without saying anything, he dashed towards me.

Kakashi came in and block the attack.

"Kakashi, hold on for a moment" I called out.

He look at me confuse.

"Kabuto-kun, why dont you stop this and actually join Konoha for real?" I ask.

"Nonsense! Why would I want to join this wretched place!" He dash towards me and Kakashi stood in front of me immediately.

But he turn and dash towards the window and escape.

I touched him for a moment... His hand...

Such a sad story for a boy. I should meet this Danzo person soon.

"Mai, are you okay?" Kakashi look at me in concern.

I smile and nod.

"Well, now that there's a one month break, I suppose you'll be training Sasuke?" I ask.

"Eh? How'd know?" He ask.

"I suppose you saw some similarities Sasuke have in you" I said.

He sigh, smiling slightly.

"You know me well" He said.

"Well, take care of the boy now. I'll go find Naruto and Sakura now" I said.

He nod and I teleported out.

I walk around the village, seeing the villagers and some ousiders together.

I passed by Ichiraku's shop again and definitely heard Naruto's voice.

I went in.

I saw him eating his Ramen with a pout.
