Chapter 20 - Two and A Half Years Later

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Naruto and Jiraiya walk pass through the gate, coming back to Konoha after two almost three years going out on a journey.

He ran up to the highest building and took in the village's scenery.

"Oh, he's excited" Jiraiya said, smiling to himself.

Sakura, Konohamaru and his team were searching for someone when they heard that Naruto's finally back.

Naruto came back down beside Jiraiya.

"you really are excited, aren't you?" Jiraiya ask.

"yeah, of course! Its been so long since I see the village. And even baa-chan's face is on the hokage's mountain already" Naruto said.

As they were talking for a moment. They heard a child's cry. Slowly the sound became much more clear and a small girl came running, crying. She didn't see where she was walking and bumped into Naruto.

"ow...mama..." The girl cried.

"daijoubou?" Naruto ask, bending down.

The girl look at him with teary eyes and a hint of recognition can be seen in her eyes. She immediately hugged Naruto and cried loudly.

"Eh?! W-what... ero-sanin, help!" Naruto said.

"ho, you know this girl?" Jiraiya ask.

"no, never seen her before" Naruto said.

"ah!! There she is!!"

Naruto and Jiraiya look in front of them to see Konohamaru and his team and Sakura together too.

"Sakura-chan! Konohamaru!" Naruto exclaimed, surprised.

"Naruto!" Sakura too, look surprised.

"So...what are you doing?" Konohamaru gave him a deadpanned look.

Noticing the girl still hugging him tightly, not letting go, he tried to explain.

"I don't know she suddenly bumped into me and when she saw me, she hugs me like this! What am I supposed to do?!" Naruto said.

Sakura sigh.

"Rin-chan... come on, its Sakura-neechan. Nee-chan will bring you back home" Sakura said, kneeling down on the girl's par.

The girl stop crying slightly, still sobbing and look at Sakura.

"Onee-chan..." She whimpered and hugged her.

Sakura carried the girl in her arms.

"hora, you guys, say sorry to Rin-chan" Sakura scolded Konohamaru and his team.

"Rin-chan, we're sorry ne?" Moegi said first.

"We promise we won't leave you anymore" Udon said.

"Please forgive us" Konohamaru said.

The girl didn't budge, she stays, buried in Sakura's chest, crying.

"we're so dead! Her mom's gonna kill us!!" Konohamaru panicked.

"anyways, we should be going first then, you're seeing Tsunade-sama right?" Sakura ask, Turning to Naruto.

"y-yeah..." Naruto said, a bit confused.

Jiraiya look at them in amusement, even though not knowing who the child was.

As they finally reach the office, Sakura knock on the door and went in.
