Chapter 15 - Revealed

Third Person's POV

Naruto tried so hard... So hard to defeat Gaara and bring some sense into him.

He knows his pain... He knows the loneliness he felt... He knows what it feels like to be called a monster. Thats why he's so determine to knock some sense into Gaara, to let him know that there's no use if they gave up just like that....

"Naruto... Its okay. Thats enough"

He look up to see his sensei looking down at him, just kneeling down and place him on her lap.

"Thats enough, Naruto. If sure he understood what you're trying to say to him" Mai smile gently at him and healed him.

Mai turn to Gaara.

"Gaara-kun, Are you okay now?" Mai ask.

"Why...? Why you'd try so hard?" Gaara said.

"Gaara... Because Naruto wants to be recognise as a human, Not a monster. He wants to have friends... I'm sure one day you'll be accepted. Just believe in yourself" Mai said.

Temari and Kankuro jumped down and took Gaara.

".....Temari.... Kankuro.... I'm sorry" Gaara said.

Their eyes widen.

Mai smiled slightly.

"Take care of him for me, will you?" Mai said.

They both look at her and nod. Then they took off.

"Sasuke, How are you feeling?" Mai ask.

Said person walk to her.

"Fine...." He said.

"I see, Thats good them. How about Sakura?" Mai ask again.

"Just unconscious..." Sasuke reply.

Mai nod and smile. She pat Sasuke's head slightly.

"Come on now. Lets go back. Can you carry Naruto? He fell asleep" Mai said.

Sasuke look down at Naruto and glare slightly. Then he look at Mai and nod.

Sasuke took the blond idiot and place him on his back.

Mai took Sakura and carried her.

They then proceed back to Konoha.

They both brought Naruto and Sakura to the Hospital.

"Sasuke, I'll be going first..." Mai said as she pat his head.

The bunshin disappear.

Orochimaru manage to run away because Mai was already too weak to stop him. The third got hurt badly, but he didn't die.

Jounins around them finally be able to go in as the barrier were broken down.

"Mai!" Kakashi came and ran to him.

"I'm okay, Just a little tired. But check on Hiruzen. He's hurt badly" Mai said.

Mai's POV

Fortunately, Hiruzen's safe. And the villagers are fine....

The buildings are a bit destroyed, but no life were taken. Although, Hiruzen was badly hurt from protecting me.

But I had to use that jutsu... If that Orochimaru guy used Hashi and Tobi-kun to wreck the village, They'll be heartbroken... I would too.... The village Hashi, Madara and I work so hard to build, protect... To see it get hurt is unbearable...

Since Hiruzen's unconscious, I'm not so sure who'll be in charge. Thats why I'm heading to the office right now.
