Chapter 47 - Feelings & Thoughts

Third Person's POV

People's cries surround the battlefield. Everyone's scared. 

Mai looks at the horror before her. 

"Mai-san!" Itachi pulled her and ran away from those life sucking vines.

Naruto too almost got caught. Third Hokage slice the vines up and freed Naruto. 

One by one... people started dying... Naruto is slowly becoming angrier. The fact that everyone's slowly dying made him angry... made him sad.   

Itachi landed beside Sasuke and Juugo.

Mai looks around her. A sad flashback of her clan... her family dying appears in her head. Haunting her for a moment.

"Sakura are you alright?" Sai said.

"Y-Yeah... I'm fine..." Sakura said.

"Shikamaru hang in there!!" Ino said. 

"Hey, hey he looks real bad" Kiba said.

"Shinobi are done for... there's no need to keep going. If you don't resist... I won't kill you" Obito said. 

Naurot glared at him. Tears threaten to fall.

"Unless you want to regret. Stop all this" Obito said.

"You mean... if we don't do anything... we'll be saved?" A shinobi said.

"That's right... You don't have to fear death or keep enduring pain anymore" Obito said.

"Don't give up!! If you're put under a genjutsu, It'll be the same as death!" Hashirama said.

Orochimaru, Karin and Suigetsu appeared and stood near Sasuke and the others.

Sasuke look at Obito. 

'it seems he's in a foul mood...'  Orochimaru thought.

"This tree..."

Everyone nearby heard Mai.

"This tree... It won't just put you to sleep... It'll also slowly drain your life as a type of nourishment until it blooms... you'll die anyways if you give in to what he said" Mai said, looking towards Madara. 

"Then...then at least we can just die without pain right?!" Another shinobi said.

"Didn't I tell you not to give up?!" Hashirama said.

"You can say that, but you're Edo-tensei!! We're all still living!!" Another shinobi said.

"It's over..."

"If this is how it should be... we should have never...." 

Sasuke then looks at Mai, She looks down feeling like the world just hit on her... then towards Itachi, who in return also look at him.  

He closes his eyes. Activating his Susanoo.

"Let's go Juugo" Sasuke said.

Everyone was surprised by Sasuke's sudden action.

"You're throwing the towel, Naruto? Cause I'm not" Sasuke said.

Naruto was also as surprised as everyone is.

Then Mai's eyes immediately went to Naruto, surprised by the sudden flow of memory...

'This...it's Naruto's feelings...' Mai thought sadly.
