Chapter 27 - Mai's concern

Mai's POV

I sat down on the edge of the mountain, looking down at the village.

"Konohagakure..." I mumbled.

I stood up.

"Mama!!!"

I turn around. Rin ran towards me, smiling widely.

"Hello there dear..." I said, picking Rin up.

"Mama! You know, Naruto-niichan bought this for me!" She said, showing me a stick of Dango.

I chuckled slightly.

"Is that so? Good for you there" I said.

I sat down back by the edge of the hokage mountain with Rin on my lap.

"It's dangerous sitting there"

"It's okay, Rin's sitting quietly here" I said, turning my head towards Kakashi.

"what's wrong?" Kakashi ask.

I sigh.

"I dont know honestly... I kept having an uneasy feeling... Something's going to happen in the near future" I said.

"Hmm..." Kakashi kept quiet.

We sat quietly together for awhhile.

"Mama?"

I look down on my lap.

"Yes dear?" I answered her.

"Rin want some more dango" She said.

I chuckled slightly.

"Okay then. Come on. Let's go get more alright?" I said.

"Yay!!!"

"Then I have to go see Tsunade-sama... I'm supposed to see her a while ago" Kakashi said.

I chuckled.

"She'll yell at you" I said.

"Well... I'll go now then" He said.

I nod.

"Bye-bye Papa!" Rin waved at him.

He gave us his usual closed eye smile.

I gave out a sigh.

"Okay now... lets go honey" I said.

"Danggoo~" Rin said.

I chuckled.

Third Person's POV

Kakashi and his team had to go on another mission concerning the third-tail. They had to seal the third tail before the akatsuki manage to get it. Since the third tail is a rogue creature roaming in the lake, it would be easier to catch the bijuu.

Mai stayed in the village taking care of Rin. She decided to stay in the village. It has been a few days, Mai has been thinking of many things.

Since now Konohamaru and his team is taking care of Rin, she decide to go to her usual spot.

"Oi, Woman!"

Mai opens her eyes where she was meditating.

"What is it?" Mai said.

The One Tail Bijuu called.

"Isobu's in pain..."

"I know... I'm sorry" Mai said.
