Chapter 44 - Determination!

Third Person's POV

Jougengetsu, the metal tessen that helps with most of her defenses and disarming weapons of the enemy.

kagengetsu is the tanto that she wield to cut enemies down. The light colour of lavender on the tessen and the darker shade of purple on the tanto's hilt and sheath complements her.

Both engrave on it... is her name. Suzuki Mai. It has been with her for a very long time. During her first war. And when she killed her best friend. It has been covered in red for far too many times....

The green light surrounding her disappear.

"You sealed them" Hashirama said.

"Yeah. It's something precious to me after all" Mai said, looking at them.

She took a step forward. Looking at the in coming monsters that the Juubi produced.

"Just never thought I have to use them again" She said.

"That's what I read on books and from classes... Mai-sensei's tessen and tanto. She relies on her two weapon to fight! It's so awesome seeing her hold her weapon in person!" Tenten said.

"Mai may be a healer. Or at least her clan is know to be healers... however... Mai herself is a fighter. She was forced to be a fighter. Forced to wield a weapon from a young age" Hashirama said.

"But why tanto and tessen?" Shikamaru couldn't help but ask.

"Because I use to wield a katana although I dont use them often. And He... wields a gunbai" Hashirama said, looking at Madara.

(A/N: well... let's just say Hashirama DID use katana to fight long long time ago shall we?😂)

"Meaning her weapons symbolises you, Shodaime. And Uchiha Madara" Itachi said.

He stood beside Mai just a step behind her.

"Yeah..." Hashirama answered.

Mai took her weapon out yet she never move an inch, even with all the rocks and sands flying around because of the fight Juubi's struggle to get out from the seal that the Hokage's place.

"Itachi right?" Hashirama said.

"Hai" Itachi answered.

"Be by her side... that's the only thing I can say. I wont tell you to protect her. But at least... be by her side" Hashirama said.

Itachi nod.

"Yosh... everyone... get ready..." Mai said.

The konoha 12 stood by their own team, getting pump up for action.

"Woodstyle - wood clone jutsu!" 

Clones appear and jumped towards different side of the barrier.

"I'll make entry points on four sides of the barrier so we can go in and out as we please!" Hashirama said.

 Both boys, Sasuke and Naruto being to run ahead, fighting against the Juubi's minions .   

The rest of the shinobi's also start running ahead of them.

"Itachi..."

"Hai?"

"You'll be following me right?" Mai ask.

"Hai..."

Mai nod.

"Then let's go" She said.

She start running towards a certain direction.

"Wha-- Mai!! Wait!" Hashirama said.

"Tch. Stubborn as always" He did another wood clone and followed Mai.
