"Draco's a veela now" Harry stated.
"Technically he's always been a veela, but yeah he has his wings and everything now" Hermione says
"That would explain why you think you have feelings for him, it's his veela charm, they'll go away once we graduate and you're not around each other all the time" Ron added
The feelings never went away. Even after Harry hadn't seen Draco in five years. So at the five year class reunion Harry planned to make up with Draco and asked him out.

"Malfoy, it's been a while..." Harry said as he approached the veela.
Draco nods "let's agree not to hex each other this evening" he said holding out his hand for a handshake. Harry awkwardly took Draco's hand and kissed it "now why would I want to hex the most beautiful person here?"
Draco blushes and turned off his veela charm "sorry about that Potter, It's still hard to control sometimes"
"I wasn't under the influence of your charm Draco" Harry states. "I- I haven't stopped thinking about you, and what might have been" Harry moved closer to draco.
Draco looked up at him blushing. "I- I have to do something first..." He said before slipping around Harry and disappearing into the crowd. After several minutes Draco reappeared and wrapped his arms around Harry "now... Where were we?" Draco asked flirtatiously.
Harry closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss Draco, but instead he was punched in the face. Harry stumbled backwards and opened his eyes and saw Marcus Flint glaring at him. "You can't just swoop in and steal my omega Potter" Marcus growled
Harry put his hands up "I didn't know you were dating him!" He says.
"Marcus!" Draco stood in front of the alpha. "We're done. You beating up Harry isn't going to change my mind about that!"
"You're mine" Marcus growled and grabbed Draco's wrist "you can't just leave me for Potter!"
Draco tried to pull his arm free "I'm not your property! I can make my own decisions, and I've already decided to leave you, you're just making me more sure of that decision"
Harry drew his wand, but didn't know what spell to cast, neither of his go-to spells would work as Marcus wasn't a dementor or holding a weapon. (Harry knows 2 spells and that's it)
"Immobilus!" Draco cast the spell before Harry could and pried Marcus' hand off his wrist.
Draco approached Harry who backed away "if you're dating Marcus that's fine-"
Draco shook his head "I broke up with him, I wasn't gonna cheat on him with you" he said before casting a healing spell on Harry's face.
