"it's Little Draco!" Harry picked up the ferret and smiled at him "hi! It's so good to see you again!"
Draco looked up at Harry and made little ferret noises as Harry held him and gently pet him
"Hermione! It's Little Draco" Harry held the ferret out to Hermione.
"Harry that's probably someone else's pet" Hermione pointed out
Harry looked at the ferret, he hadn't considered that Little Draco might already have an owner. He stared at the ferret with sad eyes before putting him down "go back to your owner Little Draco" he said, but the ferret stayed next to Harry, climbing up his pants
Hermione looked at Harry and sighed "I suppose he could be wild, but he's too well groomed for that to be likely... We should try to find his owner, they're probably worried about him"
After unsuccessfully searching for an owner Harry and Hermione concluded that the ferret was just a vein wild ferret and Harry unofficially adopted the ferret, still letting him roam free knowing he'd never be allowed to bring the ferret home to the dursly's. He spent as much time as he could with the ferret, but didn't feed it so it didn't become reliant on him. One night Harry took Little Draco back to his dormitory "Little Draco this is Hedwig" Harry introduced his two pets to each other. He didn't want to put Little Draco in a cage so he ended up setting the ferret down in his bed before carefully falling asleep next to the animal.

At some point during the night Draco turned back from his animal form (shhh don't worry about why) and when Harry awoke he found himself in bed next to the real Draco. Harry panicked, trying to figure out how Draco had gotten into bed with him. Harry got up and paced around his bed, trying to figure out what to do. Clearly this must've been some prank that was being pulled on him, replacing Little Draco with the real Draco. Harry looked at the sleeping boy and gently reached for his hair. It was smooth and soft, exactly how Harry had expected it to be. Harry ran his fingers through his crush's hair, not noticing as Draco woke up until Draco slapped his hand away
"don't touch my hair" he said.
"Do you have any idea how you got here?" Harry asked quietly
Draco contemplated whether he could wiggle his way out of this situation, or if he should just admit what he'd been up to.
"...no...." Draco looked at Harry "why were you touching my hair?"  He said trying to change the subject. "It looked soft and fluffy" Harry shrugged.
"No one touches my hair."  Draco sat up
"I've seen Cedric touching your hair"
"Yeah, when we were dating" Draco says "are you trying to date me?" Draco could feel his face heating up.
"No, you're not interested in me"
Draco blinked. Harry had seriously missed all the hints he had been dropping all year. "What makes you think that?"
Harry laughs "you made Potter stinks buttons"
Draco looked down, he had been planning on making buttons in support of Harry, but Crabbe had caught him so he made them Potter stinks buttons instead, knowing that Crabbe wouldn't be able to keep Draco's crush a secret.  "That's because I'm supposed to hate you, not because I actually do hate you"
"So what? Everything that's happened between us is just because it's what you feel you're expected to do?"
Draco put his hands on the mattress next to his thighs and nodded "yeah"
"What would you do if you weren't doing what was expected of you"
A sudden wave of boldness washed over Draco and he met Harry's eyes "this" he said before kissing Harry. Harry would either feel the same way and they'd finally start dating, or Draco would have to transfer to durmstrang and never see Harry again. Surprisingly Harry kissed back, they shared the kiss neither wanting to pull away until they were interrupted.
"Mate, what the fuck" Harry pulled away and saw Ron looking over at them from his bed.
"You're dreaming" Draco looked at Ron
"That's not gonna work on me Malfoy"
"Ron, I can explain, well I can't really explain I don't know how he got into my bed, maybe Dean and Seamus pulled a prank on me- I don't know..."
"How would they even get malfoy into bed with you, and more importantly why were you kissing him?"
"It's so he can touch my hair" Draco said
