"ugh, great the news people are already here" Harry shook his head as Draco straightened the alpha's tie.
"once we're inside we won't have to worry about them" Draco said.
Harry got out of the limo and held the door open for Draco before walking into the banquet with him. Harry tried to ignore the cameras in while Draco waved and blew kisses "you're not seriously enjoying this" Harry commented.
"It's fun, just relax a little" Draco looked at Harry "quit being such a stick in the mud"
Harry sighed and escorted Draco into the banquet, looking around to find the table he was supposed to be sitting at. "My father isn't here" Draco commented before taking Harry's hand and walking up to Harry's parents
"Draco what are you doing!" Harry whisper-yelled, but there was no stopping the omega.
"Mr. and Mrs. Potter, the banquet looks lovely as ever this year" he said
James looked at Draco then at his son "Harry, is there something you'd like to tell us?"
"Mom, Dad, this is Draco, he's my... Boyfriend" Harry was already red in the face
"So this is the omega you always smell like" Lilly smiles at her son and his partner
"Mr. Malfoy can *not* find out about our relationship, he'd fire me at best-"
"Wait, you went and worked for the Malfoys?" James looked at his son
"That's really not important-"
"What do you do? Lilly asked her son "you never tell us about your work"
"He's my bodyguard" Draco answered
Harry's parents nodded at the response "well you two should go find your seats, the banquet is about to start soon"

"how did Harry get the scar on his forehead?" Draco looked at James Potter
"An evil man broke into our house I fought off his henchmen but he somehow snuck past me, Lilly shielded Harry the best she could but eventually he had knocked her out. I finished fighting off the henchmen and ran upstairs to find this evil guy bringing a knife down on Harry's head, I managed to stop him, but not before he carved that scar into Harry's head"
Draco stared at James for a moment
"Will you quit with that ridiculous story?" Lilly glanced at her husband "it's a birth mark, not a scar, and no one above the age of five is ever going to buy into your ridiculous story, hon, you might as well say an evil wizard put a curse on him that lead to the mark" Lilly laughs (*looks direct at camera*)
"It's a good story though, and it's not that ridiculous, there are some crazy people out there"
Draco laughs and kissed Harry on the cheek without thinking.
The four of them where pulled out of their conversation by the sound of glass shattering. Draco looked back and saw his father staring at them with his drink spilled at his feet. Lucius marched over to Draco and grabbed his arm, pulling him away from Harry. "You're fired." Lucius told Harry before walking off dragging Draco behind him.

Weeks passed and Harry hadn't heard from Draco. He eventually worked up the courage to go to the manner and hopefully see Draco in person. He rang the doorbell and Narcissa opened it immediately "Draco, come downstairs, now" she said
Draco came down the steps, eyes red from crying wearing a cold shoulder top and pajama pants. "Tell father whatever attempt to buy me isn't- Harry!" Draco ran down the stairs and ran into Harry's arms Harry wrapped Draco in a tight hug. "Father blocked you on my phone so I couldn't message you-" he began to explain
Harry cut Draco off with a kiss.
"Draco, I know you packed your things already," Narcissa looked at her son "leave with Harry, get a new phone plan and don't forget to message me to let me know you're safe, okay?"
Draco nods and hugs his mother before going upstairs. Harry followed finding all of Draco's belongings in boxes "I can't fit all of this in my car" Harry said
Draco pulled out two duffle bags and handed them to Harry. "Just the essentials then, we can come back for everything else when my father isn't home-"
"Draco, I share a house with two of my friends, I don't have room for all your stuff"
"Then we'll move into a bigger house" Draco said
"With what money? Your dad fired me, and he'll cut you off for running away with me-" Harry dropped Draco's bags "I can't do this... I can't ruin your life..." He says before walking out of the room.
Draco started to cry and followed Harry "Harry you're not ruining my life, I love you, and I want to be with you, more than anything"
"Draco... I love you too, which is why I can't let you run away with me" Harry sighs "I can't let you lose everything" he says before continuing to the door, ignoring Draco's sobs and pleas.
