Sitting in the lounge area of Melbourne Airport, so many memories rushed through my mind as I thought back to the night of The Brownlow's. To picture the disgust on Chad's face that night was gut wrenching.

When I first started acting upon my feelings for Ollie, I never expected for one of the people in my life to become filled with so much anger and hatred. A cold shiver rushed right down my spine the more I thought about it. I sighed and pushed the thought right outta my mind.

As I looked within the distance of the airport, I could see a swarm of camera crew around a short figure. I felt confused but then realised what the big occasion was this afternoon, the grand finale match between Fremantle and West Coast. Although this was a rather big event, I doubt I'd be able to keep from becoming distracted whilst watching after everything that has happened.

I could feel my eyes beginning to water but didn't want to make it obvious to the public that I was a little emotional in case somebody reconsigned me. Looking around, I realised that my flight wasn't going off until another hour and a half so just decided to grab some food. I adjusted my sunglasses and fixed my bag properly against my shoulder as I made my way to the food court.

Glancing at my watch I sighed as it was only 4am. The unfortunate thing about this flight was that it was the only one I could manage to get on such short notice. I really didn't have any option after yesterday afternoon so I had to take whatever time I was given.

The food court was rather big so it was a hard decision on to what to actually get. To be honest, I wasn't actually feeling all that hungry as it was very early in the morning. Without taking anymore time to decide, I bought myself a pack of cinnamon flavoured donuts. Grabbing the donuts from the counter, I thanked the lady and made my way to a silver table where I sat and started scrolling through Instagram.

Many of the photos on my timeline was from last night where footballers tried their best to perform model - like poses and girlfriends plus wives just taking random selfies. There was also various pictures of The Brownlow winner and Jack Macrae, whom I met earlier that night. I smiled as I glanced at the photo. He seemed really nice and really laid back. Next season if the Western Bulldogs got a game against Port, I'd take him up on his offer and be happy to show him around the place.

I tapped on the comment button and typed in a somewhat sincere and sweet message ending with the pair of pink hearts before hitting send. I forced on a smile even though I was still feeling out of everything before popping my head upwards when the announcers voice emerged.

The plane was beginning to board which was my cue to make my way to gate number 20 as I glanced around the airport for one last time and threw my rubbish in the bin. Although Melbourne had its ups and downs, I still felt pretty blessed to finally get to see the large city after hearing so much about it on television. Who knows, maybe after I got my degree, I'd move to Melbourne and begin a career in Journalism right here.

As I got to the gate, I showed the lady my passport and flight ticket before heading through the tunnel which lead to the plane. Even though you couldn't tell, I was feeling really sick. How would my family react after finding out that Chad and I were no longer a couple? I sighed as I pushed my bag into the luggage compartment and quickly took my seat. Looking over my shoulder, I could see a young couple who looked a similar age to me. I remember when I was first coming to Melbourne. Chad and I were filled with so much joy and happiness just like the couple behind me. We were always laughing and sharing moments together and found it hard to keep our hands off each other. Whatever happened to that, whatever to the love?

I was broken away from my thoughts as a subtle tone distracted me from anything negative. Letting me know that the empty seat next to me was her's, I accepted without really taking any notice to her as I looked in the plane window and sighed. With a check of the time on my phone, I switched it off once realising that it was half past 5 as I sighed once more and looked at the plane window once more. The sky was still dark as I could see bright lights fixated upon the ground like mini soldiers and Tex Walker?
