Excited roars of cheers echoed within the walls of the change rooms as it filled with a swarm of Port Adelaide staff and supporters. I stood in the corner near the wide doorway which lead to the locker room as the boys clustered together in pure happiness.

I was truly proud of their efforts this afternoon. With the final scores of 108 to 82, the boys and everyone else in the room had fresh in their minds the victorious 28 point win as they formed into a group huddle, joining together the circle; symbolising the unforgettable moment.

After a brief pause of silence, the boys broke out into a raucous feat filled with sheer joy and amazement as the words of the Port Adelaide theme song began to pour out. Every word that emerged from their mouths  was shouted a huge amount of excitement as the team screamed out their yes' before speeding apart to met up with their families and social circles.

I wiped away the tear of happiness that rolled down my cheek. Jessica turned over to me and smiled, begin to open her mouth to speak. I could feel my cheeks warming up due to how hot the room was becoming.

"Oh my gosh Carmen, they won. Port Adelaide bet Hawthorn."

"I know they did, I'm super happy for the boys. Th... They deserve the win obviously."

"You know, you don't look happy to be honest. Are you sure you're alright, c'mon Carmen, you can always talk to me. I'm your best friend."

"I don't know, I guess I'm still a little freaked out over that stupid tackle or whatever people want to call it.

"Hey, whatever happened in the past is over. There isn't anything we can do about it now, so let's just settle down and leave that behind us so we can celebrate what's in the present and that's this stunner of a win." Jess added as I forced a smile to form upon my face. Maybe she was right, I shouldn't be worrying about the oppositions actions, their penalty was a loss and our reward, was a win. I looked over my shoulder and noticed Ollie sitting on the bench on his own isolated from everyone else. I smiled to myself.

"Go on Carmen, I know you want to go with your boyfriend. He looks tired and drained out, you should go cheer him up."

"You know I don't want to do that -"

"Carmen please, I'm a big girl who can take care of herself. Ollie looks like he needs you with him, go, go please for me?" Jess pleaded as I smiled once more before making my way over towards Ollie's direction and taking a seat right next to him.

"Hey babe, nice couple of goals you snagged this afternoon. How's that arm of yours going?"

"Carmen, hi. My arm is better now that you're here right by my side." He said as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer as he lent forward and made contact with me lips before slowly pulling away from the kiss.

"You didn't need to do that Ollie."

"Didn't you enjoy it though?" He added with a cheeky fake pout upon his lips. I let out a laugh as I rolled my eyes.

"No, that's not it. I mean, of course I enjoyed it. You know what, don't worry. I'm quite glad that you did that." I said as we leant in for one more quick kiss before I released back remembering Chad's tackle from earlier before.

"Is everything alright Carmen? You look like you saw a ghost or something?"

"I'm just a little freaked out over seeing Chad drop onto the ground the way he did. I'm sorry for bringing this up but I don't know, I was a little worried."
