A/N: During this chapter, the suburb of 'Hindmarsh' is the key location as well as the next chapter. Most of what is being said is from my imagination as I've not been to Adelaide before. So in case you've forgotten the other main characters of this book, I've included an edit in the media above {sorry, if it looks a little rough, expected it to turn out a lot more better but oh well). x
"Is it true?" Ollie yelled violently as I sat quietly on the leather couch at his house. After he called me this morning and I knew what our conversation would be about and was honestly scared how the conversation would end.
"Ollie, just please calm down and I'll explain -"
"Explain what Carmen? That you were in affair with Kurt Tippet whilst on holidays. Please, by all means go ahead."
"Ollie, I promise you that it isn't true, nothing is. I don't understand how an article like that was written, I barley know the guy."
"Honestly Carmen, I find that hard to believe at the moment. Everybody's talking about the so called hottest new property at the moment and I can't even tell what's right or wrong anymore."
"For Christ sakes Ollie, this is just like another damn trade rumour like the ones that say if a player's going to -"
"No Carmen. This is nothing a damn trade rumour, it's a bloody affair scandal. The last one that rocked the AFL was back in 2001 and you don't know much headlines that made."
"Why the hell do you think I'd hook up with Kurt Tippet and be involved in an affair with him. Yeah, he's a nice guy but you know my heart belongs to you and always has. Ollie, please, please believe me. I wouldn't never do anything as sinister as having an affair." I said as a trail of tears slowly, begun rolling down my cheeks.
Ollie looked down at me and frowned as he sat next me, patting my back gently. I was being honest; although the furthest I went with Kurt was a kiss, an affair would have never crossed my mind. I buried my face in my shaking hands as soft sobs emerged from me.
"Listen Carmen, I am really sorry if I upset you. I guess hearing about an alleged affair just made me panic. You're an amazing woman and, honestly I would not know what I would do without you babe." He said, slowly bringing down his tone.
I forced myself to stop crying as I looked up at Ollie. I just hated him to see me cry because I didn't want Ollie to think anything but surprisingly, he wrapped his arms around me.
"Everything's going to be alright Carmen, please don't cry. I don't like to see my girl upset. Whatever now is about to happen through the course of the allegations, I know you're strong enough to get through it; we can get through it together." He said as he hugged me tighter. I felt safe when I was in Ollie's arms but tonight, something felt different, like it was unnatural.
I pushed out of Ollie's hug feeling uncomfortable and rather vulnerable. Ollie looked heartbroken but I knew I had to brush it off. It was already an eventful day, losing sleep over it wouldn't help anybody, including myself.

I sat quietly in the car as Ollie turned the corner. We were off to Hindmarsh, a small suburban area about an hour away from Adelaide. I wasn't sure to expect what the area would be like since the last time I was in the area was when I was about five years old.
After agreeing to come to Ollie's brother wedding, I never though it would be this nerve wracking. The whole point of this day was to support Ollie on his brother's wedding, why was there any need for me to get nervous.
Before I even realised it, Ollie began to drive up the driveway as I began to feel my heartbeat quicken. Ollie had mentioned that his parents lived with his brother, Harry which made me rather nervous.
