Chapter Sixty nine: Muzan's final plan.

Lady Tamayo and Shinobu Kocho had spent the next several days and nights working on the Anti-Kibutsuji medicine. They used demons that had been captured by the Demon Slayers as test subjects to experiment and test the drug on. They didn't like to experiment on people, but they had no other way to test the cure they were developing, but they did try to avoid causing the demons they were experimenting on any pain or discomfort whenever possible. Tamayo and Shinobu were making good progress on the medicine. The two women had also formed a strong bond of friendship while working together. They bonded over their shared interest in medicine.

"This is amazing. We are so close to making a breakthrough." said Shinobu, fulled with excitement.

"Tamayo san, may i ask you a question? Why do you hate Kibutsuji so much?." asked Shinobu, wanting to understand Tamayo's motivations. What would drive a demon to betray their Demon King and join the Demon Slayers in their fight against him?.

"My story is one full of blood and tragedy and not for the faint of heart. Like all demons, i was once human. I was slowly dying from a terminal illness, Kibutsuji found me and offered me to become a demon. I accepted the offer. I didn't want to die and leave my husband and children behind, but that bastard Muzan didn't warn me what would happen once the transformation was complete, that i would become a monster, i was forced to eat my husband and children, and then i started eating other innocent people out of despair, that bastard lied and deceived me, i would not have accepted had i known the truth!!!." answered Tamayo, crying tears of grief and sorrow.

"My parents and my elder sister were also killed by demons." replied Shinobu, fulled with anger and grief. The Insect Hashira never thought that she would ever become friends with a demon or feel any sympathy or compassion for one, but Tanjiro was right, Tamayo and Yuichiro were different from other demons, Shinobu was also heartbroken by Tamayo's story....how could Kibutsuji be so cruel....even his own demons suffer under him!. Tamayo was also working on other drugs to help during the final battle against Muzan. A drug to stop him from splitting himself up, to stop him from escaping like he did against Yoriichi, a drug to accelerate his ageing and finally a Wisteria poison to weaken him.......Tamayo and the Demon Slayers were going to avenge their loved ones and everyone who suffered and died due to Muzan and his followers, and the man who Muzan had turned back in Asakusa was also going to help,his Blood Demon Art will be useful for trapping the Demon King.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro and the other Hashira were focusing on preparing the Slayers for Muzan's inevitable attack. Since Sanemi found out that the demons have been spying on them this whole time, they needed to be ready. They knew that Muzan was going to bring them to his stronghold, so they needed to by as prepared as they could.

"Dad...please hang on for just a little longer....me and Nezuko are coming to save you soon." said Tanjiro as he lied down on his futon, getting ready to sleep after a long and hard day of training. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke were spending the night at Muichiro's home, the Mist estate. The boys were sleeping together while Nezuko got her own room. It was quiet, and all were asleep when when Muichiro suddenly woke up, silently crying. He went to the roof top of his house, crying and sobbing, and then Tanjiro, then Tanjiro appeared on the rooftop.

"Did you have a nightmare about your family?." asked Tanjiro, Muichiro had been plagued by nightmares about his late family ever since he regained his memories after his battle against Gyokko

"I have dreams about my family, too." answered Tanjiro.

"I miss them so much." cried Muichiro.
