Chapter Sixty Three: Moon vs Wind.

Tanjiro was heading to Sanemi's dojo, Tanjiro got lost and had to be pointed in the right direction by his Kasugai Crow, but the two were startled by Zenitsu's sudden appearance.

"Ahhhhh Tanjiro pleeese help meeee,i can't go through this again!" screamed Zenitsu, Tanjiro was annoyed by Zenitsu's behavior, he remembered when the Thunder breath user had arrived at his stage for the first time Zenitsu would constantly try to escape and Tanjiro had to drag him back. As that thought left Tanjiro's head,the two were covered by a looming shadow and Tanjiro stared in silence as the Wind Hashira grabbed Zenitsu's head.

"Runaway again and i will wrench your head off!." threatened Sanemi, Tanjiro didn't blame him, he knew first hand how difficult Zenitsu could be when it comes to training.

"Tanjiro please, you can't let me suffer!" screamed Zenitsu grabbing onto Tanjiro and begging for mercy only for Sanemi to chop him in the neck and knock him unconscious.

Tanjiro let out an annoyed sigh as he carried Zenitsu back.

"Why do you always cause me trouble?" asked Tanjiro, he loved Zenitsu like a brother but the Demon Slayer could be such a handful sometimes. While en route to the dojo, Tanjiro told Sanemi of his excitement to begin training. Sanemi stopped and said.

"Don't be arrogant Daken, i will never accept you or your sister". spat Sanemi.

"I don't mind, because i will never accept you either, i will never forgive you for slandering and disrespecting my late family and father." retorted Tanjiro. Sanemi watched as Tanjiro walked off......how dare that hybrid piece of trash have the nerve to reply!!!.

Sanemi's drills involved sparring with him, a simple exercise that became immensely difficult due to the Wind Hashira's brutality and refusal to give breaks,only allowing trainees to stop if they vomited blood or lost consciousness!. Now Tanjiro had been through some tough and brutal training, his father could be brutal sometimes when it comes to training, Obanai and Kyojuro were also brutal, but Sanemi was on a whole other level, even Kyojuro and Obanai gave the trainees more breaks!. When Zenitsu woke up, he furiously lashed out on Tanjiro as if he murdered his parents!. Sanemi was especially hard on Tanjiro, using all of his strongest moves and most brutal tactics.

"I'm not gonna lose to you again, Daken!." said Sanemi, the Wind Hashira was still angry at losing to Tanjiro when they first fought and was out for revenge.

"My name is Tanjiro....Tanjiro Tsugikuni, make sure to burn it into your soul so that you won't forget it, you racist bigot!." retorted Tanjiro, the match ended with Tanjiro winning.

Demoralized by his defeat, Sanemi walked inside his home. Sanemi hated the fact that Tanjiro was the strongest and most powerful Hashira, the only ones that could come even close to challenging him were the Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima who used to be the strongest Hashira before Tanjiro joined and the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito the Hashira with the most talent and potential. As Tanjiro walked into Sanemi's home, he heard Genya's voice, calling for Sanemi's attention. Tanjiro sensed his scent and found them together. Genya pleaded with his elder brother to listen, but he was dismissed by Sanemi.

"I have no brother!." said Sanemi, he also threatened to kill Genya if he dared continue. As Genya took in the threat, Tanjiro sadly noted that the Shinazugawa brothers confrontation was nothing like how he used to fight and argue with his siblings, Tanjiro remembered that time when he tickled his little brother Shigeru into surrender.

Sanemi told Genya to not act like they were close and belittled his younger brother for his lack of skill, remarking that he should quit the Demon Slayer Corps since he cannot call himself a swordsman without a breathing technique. Genya tried to explain to Sanemi, that he had always wanted to apologize to him, but the Wind Hashira ignored his brother's words as unimportant to him. Desperate not to lose his chance, Genya confessed to eating demons to fight and reach where his is now, causing Sanemi to stop. Sanemi couldn't believe what his younger brother said, so the Wind Hashira angrirly demanded that his brother repeat himself, stomping down his foot and frightening Genya and Tanjiro with his rage!. He then vanished, making Genya confused by his sudden disappearance, but Tanjiro burst forth to reach Genya as
Sanemi viciously attempted to gouge out his brother's eyes!. Tanjiro grabbed Genya and pushed him away, causing a cut across his face from Sanemi's fingers, which instantly healed as the two punch through the wall.

In the yard, Zenitsu and the trainees question how much longer their training is going to last when they were startled by the Sound of Tanjiro and Genya landing outside. Believing that Sanemi had returned, Zenitsu and the trainees all pretend to faint and lie down. Zenitsu saw Tanjiro and questioned what his friend was doing, breaking the wall?.

"You have gone too far Shinazugawa, you almost murdered your own brother!!!." said Tanjiro in a chillingly calm yet angry voice showing his demonic side. Tanjiro had no love for the Shinazugawa brothers, he saw them and Obanai as nothing but total lunatics and bigots, but even Tanjiro was disgusted by the cruel way that Sanemi treated his own brother. Zenitsu and the trainees were terrified beyond comprehension, Zenitsu was terrified at the ominous demonic sound that filled the air. Sanemi stepped forward to confront the Eclipse Hashira and explained that he did not intend to kill Genya......that would be too simple....he wanted to cripple his little brother beyond his healing, though he would forgive him if he leaved the Corps at once.

Tanjiro reminded Sanemi that he was also a Hashira so he wasn't under his authority and that he had no right to make Genya's decisions by diswoning him as his brother moments prior. Tanjiro explained how Genya chose to risk his life and fight demons, despite his lack of talent and Genya wouldn't let anyone, even Tanjiro get in his way, Genya also braved Uppermoon Four and survived. Hearing this, Sanemi decided that he will instead decapitate Tanjiro first before taking a fighting stance. An epic brawl broke out between the two Hashira, Zenitsu, Genya and the trainees were all shocked and horrified at the scene, Tanjiro ordered Zenitsu to get Genya out of the scene!. Sanemi and Tanjiro unsheathed their Nichirin Katanas. Sanemi fought with more ferocity than their previous clashes, he was fighting with everything he had, he was determined to end Tanjiro's life!.

"You will pay for your father's crimes, with your life!, you're no Hashira, you're nothing but a Daken, a freak, you shouldn't even exist, you were only born into this world because your parents are traitors of humanity, your father the loathsome Uppermoon One and your mother the demon fucking whore!." yelled Sanemi. The cruel taunting had triggered Tanjiro and awakened a deep anger, but Tanjiro kept his cool, he wasn't going to give him what he wanted, he was going to control his emotions and strike when the moment was right. The spectators were horrified by what they were seeing, Sanemi had inflected some brutal and horrific injuries on Tanjiro, the Eclipse Hashira would have suffered a painful and traumatic death if it weren't for his demon side, eventually Tanjiro was able to find the Opening Thread and delivered the final blow, defeating Sanemi and ending the fight.

"I will let you live this time, but next time i will not have any mercy!." said Tanjiro, in a dark tone, letting his demonic side slip. Zenitsu, Genya and the trainees were deeply chilled and distributed by what they had just witnessed and by the sudden change in Tanjiro's aura, Tanjiro normally had warm and sunny aura, but now his aura was dark and threatening, they could feel the killing intent and blood lust, Tanjiro was such a good and kind person so it makes you forget that he was part demon......forget that side of him.
